The Seasons Hotel -Studio & Suite

Our hotel experience was overall very poor as this hotel lacks acceptable customer service. Small things like having adequate towels in rooms need to be argued for with the front desk. For hours at a time our room smelled strongly of smoke from other guests smoking in the rooms. They also price gouged us on water from the hotel to the room, resulting in a $60 charge for waters that cost the hotel under $5. While the rooms were spacious and clean, the hotel has not been renovated since the 1980’s and has an old, run down aesthetic.

I don't even know where to start with this review. 1 - Staff are rude and also they try to charge extra on arrival. 2 - Loads of cockroaches in the room. 3 - Room not clean at all and had a bad smell to it. 4 - Room very very outdated, nothing spent on that hotel in 20+ years. 5 - Balcony doors and all windows really hard to open. 6 - Breakfast was the worst food. Nothing fresh an even the waffles were from a packet. 7 - Lift stopped working when I was in it and had to press alarm button. 8 - Pool closes at 5pm. The list continues but I'm not wasting any more time on leaving this review as I see other reviews from years ago that are the same as mine so obviously nothing will change at this hotel. Always check reviews before booking anywhere. (I wish I did and I will be doing in the future)

I would leave minus 10 stars if it was an option. I booked through a 3rd party website. When I arrived, they told me that it’s a common mistake people make when using that website that they don’t make the booking correctly and that I need to pay an extra 1500nis if I want to stay. I had travelled all day with my young kids and couldn’t bear the thought of not having anywhere for them to stay so I agreed to pay it. My cards wouldn’t work there (even though they worked many times on the way to the hotel for public transport). They told me there’s a problem with their machine and I need to pay cash. I have refused but they told me they will take that amount before I leave from the card I have saved with them. I have 2 rooms, although a good size they are dated, mouldy, the ceiling is leaking from the air conditioning. There are hundreds of cockroaches in my room. They have given me a spray to kill them. I physically feel sick staying in this hotel. My children are crying and will not sleep as they are scared of the cockroaches. I have asked the hotel for a refund so that I can go stay somewhere safe but they will not agree to compensate me. Avoid this hotel at all costs. The staff are rude, have tried to steal money from me and have offered me no help

On the first night there was a flood in our room. Water pouring from the ceiling from a burst pipe. Although we were given another room to stay in, no one from the hotel helped us move our belongings to the new room and NO ONE APOLOGISED. We asked to speak to the manager 3 times and either ‘she wasn’t in yet or she was at lunch or she had gone home’. On the last day of our trip, when I shouted at the receptionist someone did come out and offered us a free evening meal. Don’t stay at this hotel!!

The Seasons was adequate, after our room was changed to something a little more updated. Location was good and restaurant meals were plentiful.
