Well we were rather worried having booked for 3 nights in the Hotel Beaulac given the reviews but it was fantastic. We had a lakeside executive room with a balcony. The room was quiet - no noise from any bars either upstairs or outside. It was spotless, had a very comfortable bed, fab view, effective yet quiet aircon and great bathroom. Can honestly find nothing to complain about. In fact the opposite. One of the best rooms we have ever stayed in. We also went to the waves bar which was great. Very friendly and attentive staff and wonderful view. Again can not find fault although again given the reviews we were expecting to. We didn’t have breakfast or use the parking (we went on the road as free) so can’t comment. Will definitely come back. Thank you for a great stay

Smiling and pleasant staff (receptionist and cleaning lady). The hotel is well located just opposite the train station and 10 min walk from the old town. The room is modern and large. The fridge is very useful, and an iron is available on request. However there is no air conditioning but a fan is available in the room. The view from my room was amazing! I will come back

Very friendly staff at the reception, you also speak a little German, very helpful. Sufficient parking in the surroundings (blue marking). All important is available in 5 minutes walking distance. Rooms and bathrooms pleasantly large and renovated, bathroom modern with walkable shower. Very small drive chair only for 2 persons and baggage. Choose rooms to the indoor courtyard, it is quiet and so you can leave the window open at night. Breakfast for 15,- Franks is very modest, also with waiting times at the coffee machine. Eventl. leave.

Nach dem Studium der Bewertungen gingen wir mit gemischten Gefühlen in dieses Hotel und wurden defintiv sehr positiv überrascht. Da wir erst um Mitternacht anreisten, wurde der Schlüssel in einer Schlüsselbox aufbewahrt und wir bekamen im Vorfeld den Code dafür. Dies klappte alles reibungslos. Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm, vielen Dank dem ganzen Touring au Lac Team. Ich kann es aber nicht lassen, noch auf die vorherrschenden Kritikpunkte von vielen Bewertungen einzugehen, da ich sie für uns nicht nachvollziehbar, resp. dem Hotelpersonal gegenüber schlicht unfair sind: 1. Lärm Ja, es herrscht vor dem Hotel jeden Abend bis Spätnachts Partylärm von den verschiedenen Outdoor-Bars am Hafen. Aber dies ist nicht die Schuld des Hotels und es wird alles versucht, um die ”Belästigung” für die Schlaf wünschenden Gäste klein zu halten. Die Fenster isolieren super, da hört man praktisch nichts wenn sie geschlossen sind und wer wie wir bevorzugt mit offenem Fenster schläft, für den liegen sogar Oropax bei der Ankunft bereit. Wer von einem Stadthotel mit dieser hervorragenden Lage (direkt am Hafen und nur wenige Schritte von der Altstadt entfernt) absolute Ruhe erwartet, ist schlicht naiv. 2. Zimmer Ja, die Zimmer sind nicht gross, aber hey, das Haus ist schon relativ alt und früher war das halt die übliche Zimmergrösse beim Hotelbau. Zudem wird die Zimmergrösse jeder Zimmerkategorie transparent auf der Homepage angegeben und wer dann deswegen eine schlechte Bewertung abgibt handelt einfach nicht fair und will dem Hotel nur schaden. 3. Ausstattung Ok, da hatten wir wahrscheinlich Glück, da wir augenscheinlich ein renoviertes Zimmer bekommen hatten. Das Mobiliar war weder alt noch abgewohnt, die Betten superbequem und es hatte selbst eine Klimaanlage im Zimmer (die wir allerdings nicht brauchten, da trotz heissen Tagen in der Nacht durch die grossen Fenster wunderbar frische Luft ins Zimmer strömte). Ich weiss nicht, wie die anderen Zimmer aussehen, aber zumindest beim Punkt mit fehlender Klimaanlage wird seitens der Hotelleitung nach und nach Abhilfe geschafft. Dass man nicht alles Zimmer auf einmal mit einer Klimaanlage ausstatten kann, sollte ja eigentlich jedem logisch denkenden Menschen klar sein (Kostenpunkt). Das Hotel wird schliesslich nicht von einer Kette, die locker mal einen sechstelligen Betrag einfach so investieren kann, betrieben. Alle Punkte, auf die das Personal und die Hotelleitung Einfluss nehmen können, stimmten für uns Im Touring au Lac absolut: Freundliches Personal, saubere Zimmer und Etagen, Ausstattung der Zimmer (Föhn, Mineralwasser, Kaffee/Tee, guter TV). Alles Top. Preis-Leistung stimmt für diese Lage absolut. Wer ein gutes, zentrales Stadthotel in einer der schönsten Kleinstädte der Schweiz sucht, ist hier goldrichtig.

The room size is not big, there is a toilet, but the sound insulation is not good. Someone in the corridor can obviously hear the sound of a similar ventilation on the fifth floor. In the corridor, I personally feel that it is okay, but it depends on the individual. My friend lives next to the elevator and hears the sound of someone talking when the elevator opens. The room is clean and comfortable. The location is convenient. It is not far from the station. If you feel tired, you can take the bus. About two or three stops. There is food and business district next to it.
