There are two other houses on the property (one we live in, one other vacation rental next door).On the ground level you’ll find the kitchen, dining room, bathroom, living room with a convertible couch (full size mattress + topper), and an outdoor patio with dining table that seats 8.On the second floor is the master bedroom with 1 queen bed, 1 trundle bed (2 twins that can be separated or combined to create a king bed), 1 convertible couch, an office, and a private deck with incredible views of Tahoe National Forest and the Sierra Nevada mountains.The house has reliable cell service and dedicated WiFi, as well as a 55” inch flat screen TV with all the standard streaming options.Guests are encouraged to explore the property! Sit by the pond, try out our makeshift disc golf course (i.e. trees for targets!), utilize the shared outdoor kitchen equipped with sink and bbq, walk the land, play horseshoes, and watch what we like to call "Hummingbird TV". We especially recommend exploring the garden to hang with the chickens, see what's in season, make yourself a bouquet, or pick some fruits and veggies! With over 90+ different flowers, trees, herbs etc growing around the property there is lots to explore. We can also provide binoculars and a bird guide for the bird enthusiasts!Dogs are welcome, but please note there are other dogs that live on the property that might come say hello! They are friendly, but you can let us know if it's an issue. We advise that you leash your dog while exploring the property if they don’t do well with other dogs - also this can be helpful as pups do like to take off into the forest once they catch a glimpse of a jackrabbit!The Sierra Sunrise House has its own dedicated parking right in front for at least four cars. We have space for more if you need and can accommodate trailers/RVs.The House is easy to get to and close to highway 20 and 49. We are 12 minutes from downtown Grass Valley, a few minutes further to Nevada City, and even closer to the Fairgrounds.We love to host people and are happy to interact as much or as little as you like! There is a dog bed and food and water dishes supplied. Please keep them off the furniture. There's also a kennel with indoor and outdoor access if you want to leave them while you go out on the town.The year-round creek is very peaceful and inviting. It’s perfect for a single or couple, and comfortably sleeps up to 4 adults. It is suitable for long term stays. The spaceYou will enter through a touch pad door lock into your newly remodeled suite that boasts modern décor and finishes throughout. There is a full-size kitchen with anything you may need to prepare a home cooked meal. The kitchen has a microwave, electric stove top with oven, toaster, Keurig and coffee pot (with some coffee and tea included), refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, dishes, glasses, silverware, pots and pans, electric can opener, and other cooking essentials. The living room has a sofa that pulls out into a queen size bed, a coffee table which has assorted games in it, dining/worktable with two chairs, TV with movie channels and prerecorded content, DVD player, and breathtaking views through the large windows that are the best view in the house overlooking the river. If you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle you can drive to the river, otherwise it’s an easy 5-minute walk downhill with a moderate walk uphill back to the house. Enjoy the views of the river, forest, and wildlife. We have a campsite by the river that has picnic tables, lounge chairs, a gas BBQ, fire-pit, porta potty, and a basketball hoop. You will be able to fall asleep to the sounds of Squirrel Creek and enjoy all of the amenities of our 30 acre, woodsy property. A possibly shared hot tub is right outside your front door adjacent to a large deck equipped with a propane barbecue, hammock and patio furniture. We are told that the highlight of most guests stay with us is the creek running through the bottom of our property. It is a short, but mildly challenging hike down to where we have created a park setting. Stairs that lead to the water's edge, a large swimming hole to enjoy, seating at numerous sites along the creek bed, a Winnebago camper with electricity, water and a functional bathroom next to a 16'x18' deck are all at your disposal. You can have use of a propane barbecue with a side burner located on the deck. If you travel down to the creek, we will ask you to sign a liability waiver first.The spacious unit is set up with 2 twin beds made up as a queen. The kitchenette comes equipped with a microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker and toaster.
