Jyoti Mahal A Heritage Hotel - 05 Mins from New Delhi Railway Station

A fairly basic hotel but nice rooms (as long as your not facing the street - very noisy). Bathrooms are very basic and hot water can take a while to come through. Food is great. Smoking is allowed on the rooftop dining area, which is a bit grim when you’re eating. The general experience is good value for money but the place could do with investing in new bed linen and towels and having a no smoking policy.

It was very pleasant stay with my family, and we were reach early in the morning but they allow us check in with asking any extra amount. Staff was very humble and helpful especially Mr Praveen. And the best part is rooms are very specious and well mentioned.

STAY AWAY FROM TOURIST TRAP. THIS THING IS DIFFERENT THAN THE PICTURES. DONT BOOK THE TRANSFER AND DONT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. They try to scam you giving different and unclean room, try to include taxes in the payments and you will not feel safe. Don’t trust the pictures and in the description. See the real Pictures attached. We had to sleep on the top of our own beach towels and left in the early morning. All was dirty or broken. You will heard everything and not be able to rest or do anything. Choose another place to stay like us. Don’t spend your money with these scammers.

Stayed for a week with a bunch of friends whilst visiting India for a wedding. The architecture of the hotel is AMAZING, especially the indoor pool/courtyard/balcony hallways and the rooftop area - we spent most evenings up there! The amenities are basic but functional - I'd recommend bringing your own loo roll as some are provided but bidets are the norm there (also the loos struggle to flush the higher up you go - just keep holding it down and it will go!); the hot water for showers takes a moment to kick in; the wifi is functional but there is a second one for the roof which is a bit spotty sometimes; I'd also recommend bringing your own towels and some flip flops for showers. Given the location the hotel feels pretty safe - there are multiple other hotels in the immediate area, however the wooden doors/windows have buckled a bit through age to leave some small gaps but are all locked and we had no problems. The food there is fantastic, a little slow but I think that's because it's all made fresh, and excellent value for money even with the added 10% service charge (the rice portions are very large!). Staff were very helpful - they helped us book taxis places, exchange money when needed, and - we had a little confusion upon arrival with checking in but no problems afterwards. Don't go expecting luxury but it's quiet and cool inside with good food, fantastic architecture, and your basics!

It's quiet and the rooms are clean. The staff will also provide helpful and polite guidance.And It is close to the bazaar and the subway, so it is easy to go to shopping centers without using a taxi. Finally, there is a guard *** stationed, so security is also safe. A tour advisor is also available.

The hotel was very very basic, but the worst of all was the travel agent who had his desk in the lobby. The name of the agency was "Staybook Travel". I bought from him a one week tour in Kerala. He told me I should pay the actual costs for flight tickets, hotel nights, driver etc plus 20 % for his work. I found this a reasonable deal and I assumed this was an honest business as he was allowed to have his agency in the hotel lobby. So I paid him 160 000 Rupies for this one week tour. After the tour I checked the prices on the Internet and I then realized that I had been overcharged with at least 50 000 Rupies. I asked him to give me a specifikation of the actual costs but I never received any. So my advice is that you should avoid this travel agency !

Hotel is being run by crooks. Stay away. Very filthy and dirty hotel. It's a zero star rated hotel. No customer services. Rooms and toilets are smelly . The pics on the website are not real. The most unprofessional ***agement.

We had booked two nights directly with the hotel and we were confirmed. Our driver dropped us off with 3 bags and left … we were there for 5 minutes before they said they didn’t have a room for us but would take us somewhere else for 1 night! Not acceptable at all! Luckily we called our driver and he was able to find better accommodation for 2 nights at a better price….On another note there seemed to be poor wifi as a wo*** came downstairs twice trying to get devices to stay connected!
