Joey's Hostel

From my ***y years of traveling and staying at hostels, I've learned that it's the staff who make the real difference! The staff at Joey's most definitely made my stay there a positive one! All of them were friendly, helpful, fluent in English and responsive to the guests' needs. The hostel was bustling, with people coming and going everyday, but Ashish ***aged the place very well, and everyone kept their cool. I also appreciated his wry sense of humor and his generous consideration to provide me with a later, much needed check-out. Also, big thanks to Jeneen (sorry for wrong spelling), who was such a sweet, considerate and wonderful young lady. She took really good care of me, helping me to carry my bags to the 2nd floor, booking tickets and tours for me, instructions with metro routes, booking Uber cab for me to the airport, and staying out in the street with me until the cab arrived. Thanks to her, my trip was much easier and less stressful! The all-female dorm I stayed in was quite clean, and the bathrooms were cleaned everyday. Hot water showers were available, and the breakfast, though minimalist and the same everyday, were still better than nothing. I would recommend that they change the menu a little (maybe scrambled eggs as well as boiled eggs), and different kinds of fruits, not just bananas. Also, the couches in the reception area have died, and need to be replaced! But all these are small things, because the staff made staying at Joey's its best reward!
