Four Points Hotels in New Taipei City

Prime Location: This hotel is exceptionally convenient for travelers, situated right in front of the A9 Linkou MRT Station. It’s only a 20-minute taxi or MRT ride from Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). Shopping & Dining: You are steps away from a Family Mart and within an 8-minute walk to the Mitsui Outlet Park. There are plenty of local dining options and a small shopping mall directly across the street. Modern Rooms: Guest rooms are praised for being clean, spacious, and well-designed. The beds, duvets, and pillows are notably comfortable, ensuring a sound night’s sleep. Quality Amenities: The hotel features an indoor pool, a highly-rated sauna and steam room, and a well-equipped gym.

The exterior design certainly meets the standards of a large hotel. The hardware is fine, but aside from the front desk staff's attitude and responsiveness, which were ideal, the other staff needs improvement. The parking lot is quite dark (there are sensor lights), but... there are no vacancy indicators, making it impossible to tell where there are vacancies. During the long holiday, there were so many people that only three of the four elevators were operating, making waiting for an elevator a real ordeal. The wait was quite long. I even heard a staff member tell a family checking out of the parking lot, ”One of you can go down the stairs to drive, and the rest of you can wait at the main entrance.” The breakfast was extremely disappointing. It was either too greasy or poorly presented. There wasn't even a fresh vegetable at the buffet! The outdoor pool on the fifth floor was quite cold at 4:00 AM. I'm not sure what kind of water it was in the indoor children's pool; it actually hurt when I got sprayed in the eyes. The water temperature was listed as 36 degrees Celsius, but it didn't feel even close. The hot spring pool was the most comfortable. There was no lifeguard at the indoor pool. The bathtub in the room was a large square tub, and the soundproofing was average. The river view was beautiful, but the floor-to-ceiling windows were covered in dirt, which greatly diminished the aesthetic. 🤦 This completely shattered my positive impression of the Marriott/Sheraton group. I don't think I'd want to stay there again.
