Merry Day Hotel

This was my first time staying at this hotel. I was on the 8th floor, but the air conditioning unit (for Mac?) seemed broken and was incredibly loud, making it impossible to sleep or relax in the room. I spoke to the front desk and they moved me to the 10th floor. The noise was much less noticeable there, and I was finally able to rest. The bath had bath salts, which was a nice touch for unwinding after a long day. The soundproofing isn't great; you can clearly hear conversations from the hallway through the door. If the soundproofing were improved, this would be a really good value-for-money hotel. There's a washing machine and dryer on the 8th floor that are free to use, and detergent is also provided at no extra cost. Breakfast was simple, but perfectly adequate for me. It's conveniently located close to the night market and the MRT, so I'd recommend it.

The hotel is super convenient, located just a 2-minute walk from Fuzhong MRT Station Exit 1. As soon as you exit the station, you'll see a FamilyMart. There's a Japanese drugstore right downstairs and a McDonald's next door. A night market is only a 10-minute walk away, so you don't have to worry about finding food even if you return to the hotel late.

The hotel is right next to Fuzhong MRT Station, about a 15-minute ride to downtown Taipei. With the Fuzhong business district and night market nearby, the location is quite good. The hotel environment is clean, and the service attitude is excellent; they also offer luggage storage. The downsides are that the dryer isn't very effective – it took two hours to dry clothes, and they still weren't dry. The elevator is a bit slow and requires separate presses to operate. In summary: good location, friendly staff, but facilities could use improvement.
