Here are the quick reviews and tips - The location is perfect for the view but not for the transportation. - Not too far from the old street area but you have to walk up and down all the time as the house is located on the hill. - Extremely friendly and lovely owners including a cute fat female cat. - Big towels are available on request. - Bare in your mind that breakfast is not for everyone, if you can't enjoy its unique style, you can have something else for brunch or lunch in the old street area. - Prepare your own toiletries as the new government policy is to encourage the hospitality industry not to provide single-use items anymore.

Our most favourite hotel during our 8 days travelling in Taiwan- is here in Jiufen. The view from our room is amazing. The hotel is clean and pretty. The room is spacious and comfortable and the best part is the hosts are very welcoming. Even though we couldn’t understand Chinese they are very accommodating and friendly. They suggest what places we can eat (we are Malaysian Muslims) and how to get to places. You have to hike few stairs up but thats why the view from your room is worth it. We came here to rock climb in Long Dong but choose to stay here in Jiufen even thought is 30mins away. Really recommended stay. Thanks to the hosts and staff and also (Ah Bao the cat) for the hospitality.😊

This place was the perfect stay for seeing the markets and also being able to get away from that chaos and have great views of the ocean and surrounding mountains. The owners are very nice people and the free breakfast was local style (may suprise you). The only issue was no elevator, but that shouldn't be a problem for most people.

It was a pleasant stay at the B&B, which was only a few minutes walk away from the village old street. The hosts were very helpful and prepared a nice breakfast every morning. With big windows, we could see sunrise and sunset. The only downside was that the room gets a bit hot as it received so much sunlight, but with the AC and good positioning of windows, it cooled down quickly.

Host is nice and friendly. We arrived late and was raining, host was very accomodative as he waited at the door for us. The Airbnb was cosy and clean, room comes with good view. Noticed all rooms have different style and designs. Also comes with complimentary local hearty & healthy breakfast. The location is very near Jiufen old street, only take about 5-8mins walk by taking a shortcut staircase. We had a comfortable and good stay for 3D2N.

Very welcoming service, 270 degree mountain and sea view. The location is quite high up above Jiufen old street, small luggage is recommended or consider get a ride.

Good Time was a wonderful bed and breakfast, just a 5 minute walk from old street. There were some stairs required to get to the hotel, but the walk was short. The owners were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

Very comfortable and cozy place. Conveniently near Jiufen Old Street and surrounded by beautiful mountains. The owner and his son are always ready to help! Definitely recommend 👌

I found this homestay by accident. I saw many netizens sharing it and thought it was good, so I booked it. The owner and the owner's wife are very nice. There is also a super cute cat, Po, at the entrance. We live on the third floor, with windows on three sides, so the lighting is very good. There is only a small problem, which is that when you look out of the glass on the right side, there is a cemetery in the distance, but the curtains on that side are basically not drawn, so it doesn't have much of an impact! It's a little bit of a pity that the mattress is relatively old and there are spring noises, but it's not bad to sleep in. The toilet only has a door curtain. If you come with friends, you may think about whether it will be embarrassing. XD. It takes less than three minutes to walk down to Auntie Gan's Taro Balls. The location is very good, not as noisy as near the entrance of the old street.

There is so much human touch here, it feels like going home It's only a few minutes' walk from the old street. There is a view outside the dormitory. It is a 4-minute walk from the city palace. You can also take photos of night scenes

The service attitude is very good, the information provided is very useful, and the breakfast is healthy and delicious. However, the toilet has no door, so the privacy is not enough. In addition, the air conditioner is dusty, and the quilt smells and is not clean enough.
