The front desk staff were very friendly and lively. The room was small, but that's to be expected in a prime location like Times Square. The carpet looked a bit old, but the bathroom was newly renovated and very clean, making excellent use of the space. I was quite satisfied with my solo trip. When I checked in, the room wasn't ready yet, and the gentleman who stored my luggage was very kind. However, when I went to pick up my luggage later, another gentleman repeatedly tried to push their car service, even after I said ”no need, thank you” several times.
