Hotels near Greeley Square Park in New York

Excellent staff, very helpful the entire stay (reception, facilities service, house keeping, with a special shout-out to Khaoula). Perfect location, in a great neighborhood, with easy subway excess and great food options all around. Great rooms, we had the quietest stay with best sleep here in NY (compared to 5 other hotels during our trip). After checkout, the staff continued to be just perfect hosts, storing luggage until the end of the day and allowing us to freshen up, have a coffee and wait for our taxi (arranged by hotel). Thank you.

Upon entering the lobby of the Draper Hotel you're greeted by the most helpful front desk staff. The rooms are comfortable and NYC size (small as most are). We had an excellent view the of Empire State Building. There weren't any issues with noise as the windows are double pane. I'd stay at the Draper Hotel again. It's near many food options and very pedestrian friendly area.

Overall the hotel is good. It’s in a convenient location to just about any subway line. However, I found that the service at the hotel was extremely slow. My room was not ready when I checked in and it seems like the front reception is understaffed during the day. There are also only two elevators and it’s a large hotel so sometimes I would be waiting 5-10 minutes to get an elevator down.

Original review posted on May 10th, 2024. Checked in at 345pm. THE ROOM THEY GAVE US HAS NO WORKING AC upon checked in, and after dealing with two maintenance call with no results, we stepped out for dinner. Now @ 10 pm and the room is 80 degrees and the AC is not even turning on! Needless to say i was not a happy camper and told The manager, Justin Jefferson, if he had done his job and switched us 6 hrs ago this would not have been a problem! Instead of being apologetic, he was rude and basically told me they will switch my room tomorrow and he is giving me 50% off tonight and actually WALKED AWAY! The front desk agent and i was left standing there flabbergasted! The poor is trying his best to talk to me, basically doing the job the MANAGER should be doing! Apparently AC is a problem at this property as i overheard another agent telling a guest over the phone to ‘just open your window’? I have filed a complaint with Marriott corporate as leaving a paying guest in an hotel room @80 degrees with NO AC cannot be ok? Depending on what room correction i am given tomorrow, formal complaint to The Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) might be in order? Update after check out : We did received the 50% discount on our first night’s rate of $323.95, but they ‘re-rate’ our night instead of taking out 50%, not sure if this is an effort to ‘hide’ the fact that they had to give a 50% discount for an unfit to occupy room? I know this game they will never follow-up, which is why i am posting this updated review as Tripadvisor reviews cannot be updated, just cancel and repost. There is nothing Geetika Ghai - Director of Front Office with Bridge Hotel Group, can write to excuse what happened to us because apparently she was the one that said NO to moving us after she and Justin Jefferson were briefed about our room with no air and a dangerous bathroom door! This was told to me by Justin Jefferson, that is unless he is lying? The bathroom barn door track was so damaged that it was resting ON the carpet and it was impossible to open if you are in the bathroom, we had to open and shut the door for each other each time we want the door closed. Requested additional pillows did not show up after 6hrs, housekeeping was going to give us lotion but it never showed up! We were moved to the other end of the same floor (14th) to the identical room with a working (although difficult to control accurately) AC. We accepted it as are just so relieved to have AC after a night of no air and 80 degrees! The problem with this new room is that it’s at close proximity to the ‘maintenance’ office. You will hear their door slam shut multiple times early in the AM and sometime late into the evening, and our room will vibrate violently with each slam! There is definitely the reportable safety hazard of a house keeping cart ‘parking’ in our hallway EVERY DAY AND NIGHT (see at

£1100 GDP booked for 4 nights - Reviews were questionable as each to everyone’s opinion, the outset easily located and within walking distance to many attractions. The face value looked warm and inviting - The Foyer very dark and gloomy as are the concierge at front desk. The room small and very dark with no view other than another tower block. Although the room was clean and tidy - No refills of toiletries and the refrigerator / bar no drinks or fresh water. The roof top bar is rented out and is way over priced 1 x glass of wine & 1 x glass of Jack Daniels and cola $50 total rip off! The downstairs bar reasonably priced but no service had to wait 40 minutes and repeatedly ask for our drinks, the outside sitting area part of the hotel has no security or anything to stop wandering homeless people asking for $$$ Concierge on leaving young pregnant woman extremely rude, unhelpful and miserable Brian on the other hand couldn’t do enough for you my advise to him go and work for a different hotel to be appreciated The Bar Manager a camp chap stood in front of us asking if we were dissatisfied with the service as we hadn’t tipped between 17-20% It’s our prerogative if we choose to tip! Due to his arrogance and rudeness I’ve down graded the review if he was an employee of my company I’d fire him on the spot! Hotels are a cut throat business and it’s within the staff to create a welcoming environment and ambiance for customers to spend money at the hotel and for repeat business, clearly this dirty unshaven crumpled shirt and suit bar manager is certainly not the face of Hotel Hendricks. The Photos on there website are professionally done creating a lot of light they are far from the truth, our door number was partly exposed as part of it was missing! It’s a pity as this hotel with some improvements and change in staff and management could do very well. On return we won’t choose to stay I’ll pick a much larger chain or a boutique hotel with excellent reviews

Sitting at JKF waiting to fly home... Great hotel, great staff and superb location. The shower over bath could be updated but there is gym facilities, free WiFi, a good little shop on site and a breakfast cafe too. The subway entrance is at the door and Macys and the Empire State Building is 2 minutes walk. Times Square is also only 5 minutes walk. We also walked to the 9/11 museum which tool 55 mins However the hotel booked our taxi to airport and to say that was a mistake is an understatement!!

Check-in is fast, just submit your credentials and credit card. There is no breakfast in the hotel during this time, but there are also many fast food restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. It's about three blocks to the subway station.

I love its location. It is convenient to go to Times Square, Hudson Yard, Central Park, Penn Station and many subway stations. Though it is convenient, it is not as lousy as those in Times Square. Like most of the hotels in NYC downtown, the room is not spacious, but it works well for me. At least it has a sofa. The rooms are pretty modern with multiple USB plugs. The bed is super comfortable. The room is sound proof so it is great for light sleepers. Maybe the hotel is in the fashion district, the interior design reflects it by adding a seeing machine toy to the night stand. The staffs are super nice. The bellman on the first floor is amazing. They not only store luggages, provide directions but also remind hotel guests the temperature outside might be cool that it is better to put on a jacket before stepping out. The hotel is popular. The check-in time is 4 pm even you are an elite members.

The transportation is convenient, the surrounding environment is good, the room is slightly small, clean and comfortable, breakfast is considered self-help, the result is a single point downstairs, each room for 30 nights.

Had a great time staying here. Affordable hotel that’s just a few blocks away from Times Square. Offers simplicity and comfort, though if you’re expecting a hotel with certain level of decor and furniture you may not find it here. Stephanie, who checked me in, was very sweet and accommodating. I told her it had been my first time back in New York after more than a decade. She immediately welcomed me and went above and beyond to make me comfortable.
