Hilton Garden Inn New York/Midtown Park Avenue

It would have been perfect if it weren't for the large TV in the neighboring restaurant...! (The TV was on all the time, and even with the curtains closed, the glare made it impossible to sleep.) The access was excellent, and since my companion was feeling unwell, we checked in early at 2 PM, and the front desk welcomed us with a smile. There was complimentary drinking water in the lobby, which was great for preventing heatstroke. Free bottled water and coffee were also available, and breakfast was delicious.

The location was great, right next to the 33rd Street subway station on Line 6.

The front desk service was excellent and friendly, the environment was also good, and the room was quite clean. The downsides were that the hotel had no internet for two nights, and the shower head in the bathroom had low water pressure.

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. The room decor was tasteful, not as old as I had worried, and the hygiene was good. It had large floor-to-ceiling windows, making it quite comfortable overall. The key highlight was the excellent location; it's a bustling yet clean area compared to other neighborhoods, with fewer homeless people. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and it felt safe to walk around at night. The breakfast was also decent, especially compared to other hotels in the same category.

Traveling as a family of three, we booked a suite for two nights. We were placed on the top floor, directly below the air conditioning unit's exhaust fan, which made an excessive amount of noise. We called the front desk on the night of our arrival but received no resolution, leading to a sleepless night and significantly impacting our plans for the next day. Our entire experience communicating with the hotel staff was extremely unpleasant. The room was noisy, and the staff seemed to be fully aware but chose to feign ignorance and offer superficial responses. A truly terrible experience.
