W New York - Times Square Reviews

The hotel has a prime location in the heart of Times Square. It's a modern hotel with new furnishings. The hotel lobby is on the 7th floor and has great seating.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Fantastic view, amazing location situated on Broadway just off Times Square. Rooms very big and very clean, comfortable bed and amazing staff! Doorman downstairs were especially fantastic.

Excellent location, very convenient for exploring nearby attractions. However, service was practically non-existent; the front desk staff were consistently aloof and unhelpful. We booked two rooms, but only one was ready for on-time check-in; the other wasn't available until after 4 PM. There's a mandatory $40 daily resort fee per room, and even Wi-Fi comes with an extra charge. Considering the high price, you could get significantly better service and amenities at hotels elsewhere. This W in New York was a massive letdown.

We stayed here over a weekend in the summer.  We arrived a couple of hours early , but even by 4pm our room was still not ready, which was frustrating.  We booked a family suite , but the room was sparsely equipped.  We had to wait over a day for the coffee maker / hot water kettle.  The sofa bed mattress was very thin and not very comfortable.  The master bed bathroom sink water was either cold or scratching hot, and nothing in between.  Location was smack in the middle of everything , but for the price don't think it was worth the price tag.

Wonderful location, and the staff are so thoughtful and sweet! Love this place!

The room was dirty. There was no bell service and no concierge. While the Times Square location is acceptable, it definitely didn't live up to the usual W Hotel standard.

The room was in a fantastic location with a great ambiance. However, the service definitely needs some improvement. I had pre-paid for breakfast, but wasn't given any vouchers during check-in. The next morning, I had to make two trips back and forth to the ground floor for breakfast because I didn't have a voucher. This made for a rather inconvenient and frustrating experience.

Didn’t stay at the hotel. It’s a pity. Will try to book again.
