New York is expensive, that's a given. So we booked a king room with an 1.8-meter bed. The room isn't huge, but it was perfectly fine for my child and me. The hotel's cleanliness and service were top-notch. It was a busy hotel; every time I passed the front desk on the first floor, there were guests checking in. Be aware that the hotel doesn't provide toothpaste, toothbrushes, or slippers. This was different from the hotels I stayed at in Los Angeles and Nashville, so I had to buy some at the 7-Eleven next door. Travelers to the US should definitely bring their own toiletries. The hotel doesn't offer bottled water. There's an ice machine on the 4th floor with drinking water available for refills. There's no laundry room in the hotel. If you need to do laundry, there's a self-service laundromat about 50 meters away, right next to the hotel. The hotel's location is super convenient, close to both the subway and bus stops. In fact, you can easily walk to Times Square, Bryant Park, and the Empire State Building from here. It's on a busy street, so there's some noise. But with so many people and the density of New York, this noise isn't unique to this hotel. New York is just so pricey. A comparable Hyatt House in Nashville was a little over 1000, but this hotel (or one similar nearby) in New York was closer to 2000-3000.

Great location with plenty of restaurants nearby, so you won't need to bother with hotel breakfast – there are cheaper and better options everywhere! The room was a bit small but reasonably priced, though it was missing a fridge. On our first day, one of the elevators was out of order, making the others quite crowded. I'd recommend avoiding the higher floors so you can take the stairs during busy times.

On the day I checked in, I rang the doorbell for ages but no one opened it. We only got in because another guest happened to be entering. Turns out there was a front desk, but the staff acted like they didn't hear the bell. The cleanliness was pretty good for the 6 days we stayed. Checkout was bizarre though; they took my card, asked for my name, and then just let me go without giving me any receipts or anything. Whatever. But then, 3 hours after checking out, I got a credit card charge for $354. The first time it showed as 'payment failed,' and I didn't think much of it. Twenty minutes later, it charged again and showed 'payment successful.' Were they waiting until they knew I'd be on a plane? What a strange hotel, just randomly charging my credit card!

The location is super convenient, not far from the train station and right in the city center. The room was a bit small, and the coffee machine wasn't working great. On one day, the shower water wasn't hot enough. But overall, it was clean and decent.

Second time here, spacious room for NYC. The elevators are a bit slow. Otherwise, everything is fine. Great area, 10-minute walk from Penn.

The bedding and bathroom facilities were very clean. It's super convenient for getting around, with famous landmarks like the Empire State Building, Broadway, Times Square, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and NYU all within walking distance. The only downside, and I'm not sure why, was that the carpet in my room constantly had a foul odor, like old socks. Even after asking the front desk to clean it, the smell persisted. Everything else was perfect. I would consider staying again if I could get a different room.

Terrible hotel. Super small, cramped, and overpriced with no service. The elevators were slow, and there was no laundry facility. Just awful.

The location is great, close to Koreatown and Macy's, and the 1 train at 28th Street is just about a 2-minute walk away. There are lots of food options nearby! The hotel isn't too tall, so the elevators aren't usually crowded, and all the staff are very nice! It's also super convenient for temporary parking right in front. Excellent value for money, I'd definitely stay here again!
