The best thing about this hotel is the location. Times Square is just a few minutes away, so you are right in the middle of Manhattan.
The room, however, was extremely small. You can fit a suitcase in the room, but once you open it, there is barely any space left to move around. The room felt quite worn and not very well maintained. There was dust on the shelves, the bath towel had visible stains, and one of the outlets next to the bed did not work.
The window faced a wall and other windows just a few metres away, so I had to keep the curtains closed most of the time for privacy. The room was also very noisy. One night there was construction outside, and another night there was a constant loud hum from the air-conditioning or ventilation equipment, which made it hard to sleep.
The elevators were slow and often crowded, so getting between the lobby and the room could take a while. Also, luggage storage is not free: $2 per item before check-in and $3 per item after check-out, cash only.
Overall, I would not choose this hotel for comfort, quiet, or a relaxing stay. It is more of a practical option if you want to stay in a very central location and mainly need a place to sleep. You are really paying for the location rather than the hotel experience itself.
