My six year old daughter's face got snapped by the luggage tag by the hotel bellman due to lack of Just as we were leaving for the airport, the bell desk had our luggage, and my daughter and I were standing nearby waiting for our Uber to arrive. My 6-year-old daughter was standing directly in front of our luggage, about a foot away, when one of the bell desk employees went to remove the luggage tag. Instead of removing the tag carefully, he yanked it with considerable force, causing the rubber band portion of the tag to snap. It flew directly toward my daughter’s face and struck her less than half an inch below her eye. She immediately cried because it hurt and frightened her. What makes this even more upsetting is that the bell desk employee had been in conversation with us right before this happened. He was fully aware that my daughter was standing directly in front of the luggage and the tag. This was not a situation where he simply did not see her or did not realize she was there. Despite knowing exactly where she was standing, he handled the tag in an extremely careless and unnecessarily forceful manner. I was honestly shocked by what happened. Had the rubber band snapped just half an inch higher, it could have struck her directly in the eye and caused a serious injury. As a mother, it is extremely upsetting to think about how much worse this could have been. and what bothered me more was the bellman’s reaction immediately afterward. When my daughter started crying, his response was simply, “Oh, I think I made her cry. found his reaction surprisingly casual given what had just happened. I understand that accidents can happen, but I do not consider this simply an unavoidable accident. He was aware of my daughter’s presence and how close she was, yet still chose to yank the tag with enough force for the rubber band to break and snap toward her face. This was a completely avoidable safety incident caused by careless handling. It is extremely disappointing and upsetting to have our stay end this way.  I contacted the hotel immediately but so far I have only received one email response saying they will review.

The location is excellent and very convenient. There are two subway stations nearby. The service and environment are also very good. When we checked out, they even proactively asked if we needed help calling a taxi.
