The location of the hotel is okay, but the room is really not that good. Tatami mats may be very expensive during fashion week.

Good location, great bars, food good but small menu. Rooftop bar especially nice.
Negatives: no comfortable seating in rooms, only stylish unpleasant things. Mattresses are on the floor. Difficult to get front desk to answer phone. Extremely loud bar in basement— get an upper floor room if you like to sleep.
It was a good value for the money, I would stay here again if I need this location in Chelsea.

NOTHING like photos. Hotel staff was friendly but that does not make up for the ghetto DIY construction and condition of hotel rooms. AVOID unless it is only option. Beds are a joke- it just needed a blanket over the chair to make the “fort” sleeping on floor status. Mattress on a wood platform is not good-Housekeeping left 1 towel for two people and no washcloth- none. No phone to call front desk- rooms seriously are not good- really wanted to like it-but this place is tragic. 2 stars just because of staff.

Great hotel. My bathroom door has broken and wouldn’t close and it was a holiday. The engineer wasn’t around, so they were kind enough to upgrade me without me even asking. Great stuff, bar staff, and overall great vibe. I’d definitely stay here again.

The hotel personnel were very friendly. My room was large and comfortable. It was very quiet at night (my stay was on a Sat night). Convenient location and close to the High Line.

Selina Chelsea was a beautiful property in the exact right spot. I was able to walk to midtown and also visit friends in Chelsea.

The hotel literally had an all-night party in their lobby on the last night of our stay, they cranked the music to club level and hundreds of people crammed in. We were given no notice ahead of time either when reserving or when there the prior two days that they would have a party going to 6AM. It was so loud sleep was impossible, we left at 2AM and checked into another hotel. They did reimburse us for the last night, but obviously it was a huge inconvenience and we lost money but having to book somewhere else at the last minute. Very disrespectful treatment of hotel guests. If you want to be a party hotel where no one sleeps that's fine, advertise it as such. But it's not a real hotel to me if you might intentionally keep your guests awake all night.

The person checking my husband and I in was absolutely lovely! Probably the nicest person we've experienced at a hotel. This hotel is located walking distance from galleries, bars, small markets, food and a whole lot more. Our room wasn't big but it was very comfortable. Very modern, clean and efficient! There's a bar in the lobby. Overall, it was a really good experience and hope we get to stay here again!

Staff were great. Rooms are small and not meant to spend extended time in. Hotel is right next to the High Line, but few restaurants and most train stops are two avenues away.
