Refinery is first of all a good location. It ’s convenient to go to Broadway to watch a show or to go to midtown. The nearby Bryant Park has my favorite breakfast shop. West 40th Street has good Spanish food. Michelin ’s chef ’s table is the highest in the world at West 39. Street ... you can understand so much. In fact, the room facilities are just like that. In contrast, I prefer their hotel public facilities and bathrooms. Their rooftop is a relatively popular restaurant with nice night views.

Hotel room is the best, hotel staff is the best, location is the best. Will be my first choice for the NYC stay in the future. It is pricey but definitely worth it. Not very recommended for the breakfast in their restaurant. The staff was so busy with something else and we were just got ignored for a long time. Food and environment were great, but I was so unsatisfied with the service in the restaurant.

They made this trip truly enjoyable and demonstrated why one should choose to stay at the CDMX above all other options. The hotel is beautiful and a truly luxurious experience. Furthermore, this hotel is in the middle of everything. It's very easy to walk to nearly every tourist destination and it's right on the hop on/hop off bus route. Amazing hotel in the best area , close to everything . Hotel itself clean , cute cozy. Room is very decent, we see the Empire State from our room , breakfast has hot and cold stuff and to go food if you want for a snack , I loved their coffee. People from reception, breakfast team, housekeeping are decent , helpful and working hard. They hv a cozy cute table downstairs for a drink or the 26th floor which is the top notch to see NY and direct to the Empire State. My only recommendation pls do a deep clean for the carpet in z rooms as we noted stains . I def recommended and will go there again and again

Also on our last night helped us tremendously as far as transportation to the airport since there were road closures due to a parade We were able to get a car right at our door and not have to use a taxi nor other! Great location in Midtown, just blocks from the Empire State Building, Macy's, and several dining and breakfast options. Easy walk to subway and even Times Square (20 minutes). Rooms are small, but clean and very comfortable. (We were impressed by how much storage space was available in the room.) Amenities are not fancy (small restaurant with limited options, small gym), but it's an excellent starting point for exploring the city. There was some noise bleed from neighboring rooms, but none from outside.

Later, under the coordination of Ctrip, a part was returned, and Ctrip helped me to pay the rest. Thanks for Ctrip's support! The hotel received $ 162.76, but in the end it charged me $ 413.41, more than $ 250! The pre-authorization at check-in was only $ 187.76, and the front desk had no objection to the pre-authorization account at check-out. ”Hip” and ”boutique” has become a metaphor for dirty and unclean. The ”hotel room” was bare bones, dirty, with previous guests used personal toys left behind end tables. The small kitchen was barely usable - no under cabinet lighting, no dishwasher, small fridge, coffee maker dirty and unclean, same for the broken toaster, no dishwashing soap for even the small amount of utensils and glassware. No effort was made to clean underneath the bed; the bed itself sagged. The room view is into tenement like housing (if I wanted a West Side Story experience, I would go to the theater rather than pay for this cheap ...calling it a hotel is a stretch). The balcony is a joke (at worse a hazard (make sure the balcony door is locked.) The corner space between the top mattress and boxspring was dirty, crumbs, dust, etc - clearly had not been vacuumed or cleaned since the Roosevelt administration. Wi-Fi is subpar. Another effort by a non-corporate hospitality company (or whoever owns this dump) to milk tourists who come to New York by renovating whatever this building used to be into a sub standard ”hotel” rooms and skating by on ”location.”

Great location. But the service standards absolutely disappointed. In room telephone was not working and despite repeated complaints it was not repaired through my stay of 4 nights. So basically we had to go down all the way to reception every time we wanted something at the room. From toiletries to food to water. Even the front desk as well as the duty manager simply expressed inability to do anything about it Initially even some of the lights in the room were not working. Clearly one of the worst stays of my life at a big brand hotel All in all a big disappointment

The location of this hotel is the main reason to stay here. The hotel is close to transit, shopping, restaurants, The Port Authority Bus Terminal and Bryant Park. My room had 2 double beds. The bed was very comfortable. One of the elevators was out of service during my 3-day stay. I had noticed this same issue with one of the elevators not working on previous stays so this seems to be an ongoing issue. Since the hotel has 33 floors and many many rooms this presents a problem for guests. The wait in the lobby is very long for an elevator and when trying to return to the lobby from one's room the wait is also very long due to only 2 elevators being in service. The elevators are VERY SMALL which further exacerbates this problem. The room definitely needs to be renovated and is showing its age. There were cracks in the ceiling, the metal pull/handle on the heavy sliding wood door to the bathroom was loose and coming off, the water did not drain properly in the bathroom sink and the tub/shower combination. The TV did not work. George, the engineer, quickly fixed the sink/tub drain issue and replaced the sink stopper which also was not working. He let me know that if there was anything else needed, to let him know as this is what he was there for. He overheard my call to the Front Desk letting them know the remote did not turn on the TV and offered to help. He found out the TV was unplugged and upon plugging the TV back in , the remote now worked. The tub/shower combination only has a glass partition covering half of the opening so when taking a shower, water easily sprays out onto the floor creating a wet mess. Very poor design for closing off a shower area that consistently gets lots of water directed out of the tub/shower area! Miguel, at the Front Desk, was professional and friendly and my main point of contact. Why are the above maintenance and repair items not checked periodically to make sure that a guest upon checking into a room will not have to spend unnecessary time out of their vacation handling these basic items during their stay? This was an inconvenience to me and took valuable time out of my short 3-day stay. Very disappointed with my stay at this Marriot. As a Marriott Bonvoy member I expected much more and a better overall experience!

The location near Bryant Park is ideal. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. I asked for a room that had not recently had a pet stay, because of my allergies, and they actually took the time to check on that. Our ac was not working initially, but when I called, they fixed it quickly. The room was gigantic and smelled fresh but as others have said, the furniture is old. I didn’t mind as the decor was nice, and it was clean, but the couch was disgusting and I avoided sitting on it. The kitchen and bathroom were in good condition. We took the advice to avoid peak elevator times and didn’t have a problem, but that meant we had to get up earlier than we would have liked. We asked for a late checkout and got it; no problem. Overall, I thought the pluses outweighed the minuses.

This is a WONDERFUL hotel. I cannot say enough things to describe how happy we are with the experience. This place is packed with value and comfort. But let me give you a few reasons: 1. The location is fantastic in mid-town near Macy’s and the Empire State Building. 2. The breakfast is wonderful for a hotel, especially one included in the rate. The selection is huge, with fruit, scrambled eggs, meat, breads and all the fluffy omelets you want. (My only “complaint” is that the rooms they serve the breakfast in are very crowded. So get there early to get a table!). 3. The staff are amazing. I travel monthly and I was amazed at how the staff were so welcoming, happy and very flexible. They let us check in early when we got there at 9 am and gave us a free upgrade on the top floor. They even greeted me with 2 bottled waters for being in their loyalty program. (And I have only level 1 status.) 4. The rooms are pretty big for NYC, especially at this price point. The furniture is pretty good. Bottom line - Many hotels these days are short staffed and their quality has vastly diminished. (I have overpaid for 4 and 5 star hotels 3 times in Miami, Nashville and Savannah in the last 10 mos. They have all been disappointing/underwhelming compared to their massive cost.) I am new to Hilton brand. (Always been a Marriott girl.) But I am profoundly happy and already got the Hilton branded credit card. I will be staying at more of them in the future.

This was such a pleasant stay for my business trip to NYC. My office is in the Empire State Building so it’s a very close 10 minute walk. My boyfriend and I also stayed through the weekend and it was a great Midtown location right in the center of things. The front desk was very accommodating and was consistently there to help at all hours. I would specifically like to call out the bellhop Jonathan who went above and beyond to make sure we caught our flight on time. We had checked out and left our bags at the front desk on our last day. Instead of just taking our bags, he made sure to ask when our flight was, told us about the parade in town so we knew there was going to be extra traffic, and he also set us up with a cab that was much cheaper than an Uber/Lyft. Truly felt taken care of! Thank you Jonathan and the Archer team!

Take Newark Airport Express for $ 18 from Newark Airport for 40 minutes, get off at Bryant Park Station and walk for 5 minutes to the hotel. I ’m a short-term business travel, so I value these five points: (1) The location of the hotel is very close to the exhibition I am going to, a 15-minute walk, (2) the price is cheap, (3) clean, (4) there are Breakfast, (5) 24-hour front desk service. Bed linen and other items are changed every day, even if I did not request it. Although it is a public toilet, it is right next door and clean. Breakfast is typical American: instant coffee, instant cocoa, tea, bread (cheese, jam), biscuits, fruits (banana, apple). I travel a lot so I can adapt to it. Some Chinese people may not be used to it. 5-15 minutes walk from the hotel can reach the nearby famous New York landmarks, such as: New York Library, Times Square, Javits Center, Empire State Building, Penn Station, Metropolitan Museum and so on. Overall, the price is very good, if the budget is low, it is recommended to try this hotel. The only regret is that my room is on the second floor, near the road, and it is lively at night. My next business trip to New York may still consider this hotel. If you are traveling with your family, the hotel also has a four-bed room, and the bathroom is for exclusive use. Consumption in New York is very expensive. For example, steak dinner in New York costs $ 200 for two people and New Jersey only costs $ 50.
