Let The Jam Boutique Hotel be your gateway to Luang Prabang — blending heritage, comfort, and authentic Lao hospitality.
"When we arrived, we were given a ground-floor room right on the roadside, outside the hotel. The bathroom had a terrible odor. We communicated this, but were told there were no other rooms available. This hotel has no main gate, and the rooms are right by the road, with access from both sides – one side faces the street, the other faces the hotel interior. The main issue was that the door wasn't a proper one; it was a glass door without curtains. You could see straight in from the outside. This was my first time staying anywhere like this. Because the door could be pried open easily, I was glad Luang Prabang is safe; if this were Vientiane, I'd have been terrified. I couldn't sleep at night, so I literally moved the table and chairs to block the door. The most alarming thing was when someone outside on the road just opened our room door early in the morning while we were still sleeping. We only stayed one night and quickly moved to another hotel. The hotel shuttle we booked cost $15, which was totally unnecessary. Two other guys we met later said they took a green minivan for 15 RMB, which also got them there, albeit a bumpy ride. Honestly, booking hotels in the surrounding area directly would be cheaper. To be fair, the breakfast was decent; it was à la carte."
