Premier Inn Newark

As a couple we travel up north and its a 6 hour drive. 4 hours into our trip we arrive at the roundabout where the Premier inn is so stop because its the only place where you can get a cooked breakfast at 7am for £22 . we do the same when we return home. Every time we try the food it is a BIG let down. This time was the worst. we had our plates at 7.02 am and all the food was out sausage, eggs, beans, bacon, black pudding ,hash browns, mushrooms tomato's, it looked good but everything was cold. the sausages were cooked on top as always but underneath the sausage was flat and anaemic as were the sides . The dish washer is doing the cooking because they could not get the most simple item right and that was the beans. How is it not possible to heat baked beans? I had to sit with the little packets of butter for the toast in my trouser pockets whilst eating my cold breakfast in order to soften it think they stored them in freezer overnight . The coffee machine has been broken now on our last 4 visits. Don't waste your money or time stopping here, you will leave unsatisfied.

We had a lovely few nights here over Xmas, Vicki on reception was so welcoming, she couldnt of been anymore helpful. The room was clean, bathroom was a bit scruffy and could do with updating, but overall was good. Room was a bit cold but turned up the heating. Booked breakfast the night before, wasn't a problem, restaurant was great for breakfast and we were given an allergy list for our son. Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful.

Premier Inns have been our go to value overnight stay for years but recent experiences have been poor and this was the worst yet. Our room was scruffy, cleaners had missed broken biscuit next to the bed Shower ok and bed comfortable. Having to go outside to feed parking machine was ridiculous. Just add it to the room rate. Dinner was a disaster. Notices all over saying there was a massive supply chain issue. Surely it can't be that difficult to ship their basic menu around the country. Or buy stuff from the local supermarket. Medium rare steak came very well done, even though I flagged that I'd had problems in the past. Wife's not much better. Breakfast pretty bad too. Unfortunately the whole chain seems to be on the slide. Please get it back on track again.

Lovely Premierinn. The parking appears a little limited but there’s plenty at the side and back. It’s in an extremely convenient location, on A1 junction with A46. Greeted by a lovely, friendly staff member in reception - I think her name was Vicky. The room was clean and well stocked. Very comfy bed and powerful shower. Room temperature was fine and thermostat worked fine. All the morning staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Libby and Hannah amongst others were great. The breakfast was really delicious. Plenty of hot and cold choices. This will definitely be our very convenient, halfway stop when travelling up to Yorkshire to visit family.

Very nice hotel , lovely receptionist Abbey was extremely welcoming to the stay and my checkin process was very fast and efficient and made my trip a lot less stressful fully recommended this premier inn, nice area and easy to find. All staff always lovely
