We were looking for a quick romantic getaway and found the perfect spot at the Garrison Inn Boutique. From our first phone call with Jody, we knew it was something special. We arrived during Tea Time and were charmed by the lively Pink Lady Finger lounge, full of color, conversation, and floral-patterned dresses. Our room was bright, comfortable, and inviting. After settling in, we wandered through Kennebunkport’s charming shops and restaurants. Following dinner, we returned for the Inn’s complimentary evening tea—a perfect end to the day. Breakfast was included and made for a relaxed, easy start to the morning. Jody was exceptional—thoughtful, attentive, and even brought cookies when I mentioned I was hungry. A truly lovely stay.

Idk where to start… yes I do! Location was perfection. We walked everywhere from water to ice cream to thrift store. Hospitality is next and how wonderful it was. From fresh made to order breakfast to wonderful conversation at the front desk, I had everything I needed. PLUS, they mailed my forgotten bathing suite! Above and beyond service. Now my room was luxurious. New bathroom and my king size bed was so comfy. We had meetings in the cool basement, where we did talk about the fact that it was supposedly ******* which one of coworkers LOVED and told us all about the history!!! lol. Great place. Great people. Home away from luxurious home.

Rooms are not as advertised online. Lighting is dark and broken lights on stairs. Carpet is dirty and tv is tiny. I do not recommend this hotel and when contacted management never got back to me and was not willing to address the situation and even sent a rude email.

We loved our stay at the Garrison hotel. The location cannot be beat! Loved the historic nature of the inn. Staff were pleasant and the made-to-order breakfast was a real bonus. Facility was clean. The Inn fell short of a five star rating for two reasons - one is an easier fix than the other. The bed in our room was uncomfortable the first night, but in subsequent nights, our backs, neck and shoulders began to ache and getting a decent sleep was elusive. The mattress really needs to be replaced. (Room 307.) The other more minor inconvenience was the towels. The bath towels are so small you cannot easily wrap them around yourself. They do provide robes, but larger bath towels seems like a reasonable enhancement for a boutique hotel. We would love to return and if we do, we'll ask for a room with a newer mattress. Thanks to the staff for a very nice stay.

Stayed at the Garrison for two nights with a group of family and friends for a wedding. The location is excellent, but the rooms and service could use some work. The lighting in the room and bathroom was terrible, so I had trouble doing my makeup. It was nice to have a cooked to order breakfast, but the service was very slow. (Actually better on the Sunday morning we were there. On Monday there was a different cook, who got orders confused and gave me a look when I said that I hadn't been served yet. He stared at the piece of toast in front of me -- which my son had kindly shared as I was starving.) I would suggest a smaller menu or an extra pair of hands in the kitchen. The dining area is quite small and can't accommodate large parties of people at once. The maid service knocked on our door at around 2pm while we were getting dressed for the wedding. I asked them to come back as we were leaving in 10 minutes, but they never returned.
