Boulevard on Beaumont

Newcastle|3.26km from city centre
We booked this property as it was suggested by our team manager for a weekend competition held in Newcastle. None from our team has stayed here before so we were all going in blindly and we only had reviews from different sites to go on with. Believe me that reviews were overflowing with more negatives than positives. That got us worried from the start as we have young teens travelling with us. With this said, I can only speak from my Family’s experience. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment on the first floor that has an outdoor balcony with an outdoor setting enough to sit 4. The apartment allocated to us we were very pleased. Floorboards in main living space and bedrooms. There were 2 separate showers and toilets which was handy for a family of 4. The apartment has a washing machine and dryer and laundry detergent sachets provided. Kitchen is equipped with necessities and all what we required for a long weekend stay. Sachets of Coffee, tea, small individual milk and biscuits were provided too. The bedrooms were clean and we were provided with cotton sheets, there were a few woollen blankets in linen cupboard provided for cooler nights, but since my children cannot use these blankets I had to make a special request for a proper quilt and cotton covers and it was attended to straight away. There are selections of pillows provided so do check the wardrobes/ cupboards. Huge 3 TV’s in Living Room and both bedrooms. Netflix, Stan etc included. Wi-fi included. The decor is very simple but pleasing to the eye. Loading Zone in front of building. I had no problem with the booking and it was straightforward and the staffs for after hours calls are quick to reply. The cafe on ground floor “Mockingbird” serves good food and ranked #3 / 20 in best coffee in Newcastle city which I gave it a thumbs up for coffee drinker like myself. CONS: - Parking isn’t in same building and cost $20/ ngt. Building to park is 2-3 mins walk. We didn’t book any parking and we parked on the streets which has lots of lights and side streets has CCTV. - Leather Couch in living room has a rip, property owner can address this and is easy fix. But comfy couch to sit on. - No reception in building. - Self Check -In Codes use on lifts and another to apartments. Annoying at first but we looked at it positively “ keeping us safe” . So keep those codes handy with you all the time. Overall, I can recommend this property and we won’t mind staying here again.

Excellent well furnished accommodation for one week at modest price. Comfortable, clean and sizable bedding. Unit was provided with ample complimentary amenities - soaps, shamps & cons, hair dryer, tissues etc. Very clean shower and toilet; Super hot water and excess towels. Mwave, toaster and jug with adequate plates, cutlery, cups and glasses. Simple, understandable compendium and beaut TV - Freeview & Netflix. Will definitely stay again with wonderful hosts. Terimakasih banyak Ruri.
YHA Newcastle Beach
3.9/525 Reviews
For a hostel, the Newcastle Beach YHA is a great value for money. Location is perfect, 5 minute walk to the beach, right off the light rail from the train station and overall quiet (minus weekends). The vintage home has great curb appeal and is in overall good condition inside. The stained glass windows, deep couches and foyer/staircase are very comfortable to relax in. Kitchen is a little tired but overall in good condition and well stocked. Laundry worked well too and powder is available for sale. The bedrooms can get really warm and stuffy, even with the window open. And with no air con, summer would be hot here. Good storage with outlets in the rooms but the bed squeak and move around a lot of both bunks are filled. WiFi works well in the common space too. And the hostel has activities during the week, like a free sausage sizzle, which was fun. My only quibble was how well the WHV kids living there cleaned the place. Watching a few of them while eating or cooking, it seemed like a quick touch and go job. Kitchen doesn’t seem to be cleaned out regularly as I could smell rotting food regularly in the fridge. Would recommend it and would stay again, but if you want quieter atmosphere, don’t go on weekends.
Ibis Budget Newcastle
3.2/5118 Reviews
Exceptional stay here again at the ibis, Quick and easy check in with friendly service and request sorted with no hassles to have room on carpark side and away from the traffic noise of the highway. Room spotless clean and perfect for the stay.hotwater and heater works perfect in 238 as it the weather did drop early in the morning for the heater to go on just to get the heat flowing in the room. Comfy enough bed with decent pillows. For travellers who havent been here before..shops are about a 5 minute walj through the park eg: coles maccas aldi pubs ect.otherwise 2 shell express a few mins walk up the main drag, tho.onsite has vending machines for lollies noodles sodas ect. Good stay for a good price
Best Western Plus Apollo International Hotel
4.3/5103 Reviews
The staff are very friendly. Ctrip confirmed very quickly. The environment is very good. The swimming pool is very clean. It is not far from the city. It will stay next time. The children have always said that they still have to stay here. There are parking spaces underneath. Everyone is happy.
The Albion Hotel
3.6/572 Reviews
Went for Melbourne cup and while menu wasn’t as advertised I couldn’t fault menu or service. Service was 5 star. Food was awesome! I can’t stop talking about the friendly service though. Service wins every time for me. Would 100% go again without fail.
Bluegum Apartments
1.4/57 Reviews
This apartment is cheap, the sanitary conditions are very good, there are two balconies, the most important thing is to make your own cooking utensils complete, washing machine dryers and even washing clothes are prepared, the key is the geographical location is unique in the central area, the supermarket eats The slot machine arrived in a few minutes, and the friends were very happy. Although they had a little trouble before the check-in, they were arranged very quickly. I plan to go there for two days at the end of this month. I just remind everyone to make a reservation online in China. After the order is confirmed. Be sure to check the password information of the room. There is no key in this apartment. All the doors are opened with secrets. Be sure to remember.
