The room was ok, but some of the area was not really clean. Breakfast included with traditional English breakfast. Overall was alright.

Good location, but no hair dryer

No Bathroom lock for our room No first aid kit even though we are bleeding. Washroom and room smells bad.

We have been staying here for quite a long time, and throughout our stay, the staff have been incredibly helpful, supportive and welcoming. They have always gone above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and looked after, and their kindness and understanding have made such a difference to us during our time here. A special mention has to go to Chrissy, who has been absolutely wonderful. She has always been polite, friendly, funny and incredibly supportive. Her warm personality and genuine care have made us feel so welcome, and over time she has honestly felt less like a member of staff and more like part of the family. It’s the people who can make a long stay feel like home, and the staff here have certainly done that for us. We are incredibly grateful for everything they have done and for the kindness, patience and support they have shown us throughout our stay. Thank you all for making what could have been a difficult and lengthy stay so much easier and more comfortable. We will always remember the warmth and kindness we received here, especially from Chrissy.

Two things to start with. 1. Travelodge cannot control the weather. 2. I booked the wrong room! My advice... DO NOT choose rooms starting with 3 in summer. We chose this as we'd heard lower rooms were noisy but even with three fans (we brought one of our own) it was unbearable as no AC. On the positive side the room was large and clean, the staff were friendly and happy hour has great prices. The hotel is also in a great location for town and the main bus station, with very close paid parking

Excellent location, rooms are clean but the staff are amazing. I have been coming for the past few months due to business commitments and the staff are always friendly especially Chrissy. A place I will deffo keep coming back to.

We had spent 10 days on the island and our car broke down so had to stay somewhere else for a night so we could fix the car. This was the closest place to where we could get the parts. The hotels lobby was clean and cool with air conditioning and they let us have breakfast (arrived after it finished) as we were earlier than the check in time. Unfortunately the room let it down as there is no A/C in the bedrooms so for a family of 4 with a dog we had 3 fans (2 from the hotel) going and it still felt 36 degrees that we were all having cold showers including the dog before we could sleep. The majority of the staff were helpful and kind but there was one who stuck out the most Ruby the night receptionist went above and beyond to try and keep us cool and comfortable all night and apart from moving into the restaurant there wasn’t a lot more she could have done

Room to hot with 2 fans on overnight. Shower needs more pressure. Had to ask for clean towels. Even with the door sign hanging outside from 9am nothing had been done in the room.

An excellently situated hotel in centre of Newport with friendly and professional staff

Really great couple of days, staff were superb especially Chrissy and Craig, looked after us during our stay

Good all round experience, great service, friendly staff (Craig annd Chrissy) and good, well priced food. The only criticism would be the lack of air conditioning in the rooms, but the staff can’t fix that!

Room too hot as no aircon and a rubbish fan. Breakfast was disappointing and the waitress scary. On the other hand. Chrissy on receptionist and bar was everything you want someone in that position to be. Informative, funny, friendly and downright cheerful. If I wasn’t so hot and grumpy Chrissy alone would be worth a 5

Had the best couple nights in the bar downstairs, Ruby was absolutely lovely and made our stay so much more enjoyable while we were working a festival for the weekend (we felt awful for ambushing her with a massive group of people for drinks until late, but again she was brilliant at her job and handled it brilliantly !). Can’t wait to stay here again !

Awful, chargers don't work, view was a moldy brick wall, food took over an hour to arrive, not a single network bar and they charge 100+ pound a night to stay in this squalor. Never staying there ever again
