Island House Newport

The hotel was very clean, super nice rooms, comfortable mattresses. The beds are VERY high so a step stool would be so helpful for getting in and out. Just something you could slide beneath the bed. Also there were no spoons or stirrers or napkins, if you wanted to make coffee in the handy kitchenette area. And it would be very nice to have at least one comfortable chair in the room if you want to sit with a cup of tea or coffee - otherwise you have to climb up and sit on the bed, or on the not-so-comfortable, but handy, bench at the foot of the bed.

Plush Comfort: After a day of exploring the Cliff Walk or touring the mansions, returning to the room felt like a dream. The bedding is incredibly plush, the amenities are top-tier, and every detail is designed for deep relaxation.

The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. However, the staff at the reception were quite distant, whereas in a boutique hotel, a warmer and more welcoming attitude would be expected. As two female guests, perhaps because we stayed only one night, it felt strange to be given the room right by the entrance/office area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the moment we walked in the front door to the moment we checked out, was a first class experience. The staff were all extremely knowledgeable, kind and helpful. The room was fresh, clean and relaxing. We loved the option to ride the bikes around town; that is an amazing perk. Even walking, all of the major activities and attractions are close. We have added this to our list as our #1 option to stay next time we visit Newport.

Beautifully appointed, modern and clean rooms. Convenient to everything without being in the middle of traffic. Two suggestions - the hotel could really benefit from a small indoor area for people to sit and eat, play cards or just wait on friends and family. I'd also would have loved having at least one comfortable chair in the room. I'd stay here again.

Excellent location. Highly professional staff. Extremely clean. Kitchen well-appointed. Loved the washer-dryer. We highly recommend this top-notch hotel!!

Lovely hotel and super close to downtown Newport. parking with EV charger for those in need of one. Staff was wonderfully welcoming. Very quiet and overall beautiful. Highly recommend if you want to be somewhat of a walk (12-15 min) from downtown Newport and another 10-15 or so to the cliff walk.

The property contacted me to see what I needed for my stay. They already had my pack and play setup when I got there and they helped baby proof the room for me so my daughter wouldn’t get into anything she shouldn’t. It was so helpful. The room itself was better than the pictures. So clean and spacious. Loved the decorations and had everything I needed. Would definitely stay here again.
