John Murphy 3/5 I had high hopes for this hotel but was left disappointed. I had booked 2 nights getaway after getting married elsewhere. Paid close to £500 for 2 nights which included breakfast and 3 course dinner for one of the nights. The room was...ok. No fridge, no aircon and when you left the window/sliding door open at night, do so at your own risk as the room will be covered in flies. The room was roasting and the small fan provided is useless. For a 4 star hotel, you would expect a fridge but none provided so had to keep phoning for ice. The door to our room was warped so it kept rattling everytime someone shut their door. We had to stuff cardboard under it to keep it from making noise. Had to phone reception about the noise that was being made by workmen outside the room as they were drilling (not what you want to hear at any time of the day). The food was ok, desert was very disappointing (white chocolate ganash). I didn't finish it. The staff were pleasant and friendly. I would recommend looking at other hotels who do offer better value for money imo

Myself and my friend had the treatment of the month at the Killeavey Spa and it did not disappoint. We arrived 90 minutes before our treatments and had plenty of time to use the facilities, our favourite was relaxing on the heated stone bed. The pool is quite small and the hot tub is ok. I would suggest that the hedges to be cut down a bit to see the beautiful scenery but probably there for privacy for clients. My beauty therapist Helen was so lovely and knew how to make me relax and enjoy the whole experience. She was very professional and if I was going back I would ask for her. I would highly recommend a wee spa day at Killeavey Castle.

The worse meal ever. And the service is appalling. And no improvement 6 months later for a different occasion. I don’t like to be public but after a year waiting for a reply to my private complaints, people need to know what to expect. It’s sad because it’s a beautiful setting.

Another fabulous stay at Killeavy Castle hotel. The hotel is lovely and in the superb setting of the Ring of Gullion. The hotel, room and facilities are excellent as was the food in the bistro. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is well positioned to tour around and explore the east coastline both going north and south which is what we did.

We had to spend a few days in the Carlingford, Omeath area and Killeavy Castle was recommended by a colleague. It was definitely worth visiting. The hotel was busy that weekend with a wedding in the main castle. There was a great buzz about to place. The check-in process was very efficient, was really helpful staff. The views from the hotel are amazing, especially from the restaurants. Dinner was great, with many of the dishes produced on the farm itself. I was a little concerned about breakfast, as I don’t really like buffets, however in this case, I must say it was one of the best I’ve seen anywhere. The restaurant staff provided an incredible service, and there seem to be always checking to see if more coffee or tea is needed. All in all it was a great place to stay, service was great, views incredible. Parking however, was a little bit scarce, probably due to the wedding. It’s also the place to go if you want to experience driving on narrow country roads. Will definitely go back.

A fantastic anniversary stay. Beautiful surroundings, excellent facilities and great service. Breakfast was outstanding so much choice and all cooked to perfection. Dinner food amazing and the spa was fabulous. Would recommend, a little gem of a place. There was a wedding and I think a baby shower on as well as a few communions on - but you wouldn’t have known, seamless service and wedding well situated a good distance from other facilities so no disturbances. A relaxing and enjoyable stay!

We loved the chilled out vibe, from the hotel and staff the bedroom was amazing you sank into the deep pile carpet once you walked into the room, you had a amazing view over their walled gardens but all views from the rooms looked fantastic, lots of nooks and crannies in the hotel to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere, read of chat , plenty of walks to go on and a spa to soak her when you get back . Food was amazing especially as most of it is grown in their gardens and locally sourced meat. Farm shop was great S you could take home produce that you had already eaten in the hotel , even their honey made by their own bees . Will definitely return for a chilled out stay .

Staff were Lovely and the Service was Fantastic, Spa was so Relaxing. Room was Super. Everything was Clean and what you would expect. Dinner was Exellent. Wasnt overly pushed on the Breakfast. Definetly a great Hotel. Lovely setting at the Foot of the Mountain
