The Retreat at Ngorongoro

Very beautiful. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very big and clean .The food is ok.Highly recommend. We had the best stay ever . Thanks to all the staff for making our stay unforgettable and a lifetime memory. Will stay again .

We could not recommend a safari lodge any more highly than the Retreat at Ngorongoro. The facilities are amazing, the staff courteous and professional and most accomodating in every way and the food is delicious.

The Retreat At Ngorongoro is beautiful. The room we had is the largest room I have even been in at any hotel anywhere. It had 2 king beds, a sitting area, a fireplace with seating and a terrace to sit out on. The grounds are magnificent and the pool is lovely as well. We had delicious meals in the dining room and a private dinner by the pool. All in all the whole experience was fabulous. I HIGHLY recommend The Retreat at Ngorongoro.

We stayed at the Retreat for one night and it was simply amazing. The food was delicious, all the stuff very nice, service outstanding and the place wonderful. It is a very quiet place with a beautiful garden and we even had the chance to get a fire in the evening in our room, we enjoyed very much! We can highly recommend it and wished, we could have stayed longer!

We stayed here for one night after our safari, and it was such a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made us feel truly taken care of. The food was excellent! The Lodge itself was very clean and well-maintained, and our room was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. You can tell they put a lot of care into making guests feel comfortable. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend staying here!

This place truly felt like a wonderful retreat! Even though we only stayed for one night, we felt incredibly welcome and well looked after from the moment we arrived. The facilities are excellent, with plenty of activities to enjoy for both kids and adults. The rooms were beautifully clean and comfortable, and the food was absolutely delicious. A special mention goes to Judith and her team, who took such wonderful care of us. My 9-year-old son is quite a picky eater, but Judith treated him like her own child — she went out of her way to find meals he would actually enjoy. Her kindness and attention made our stay even more memorable.

Spent three nights at the property and we didnt want to leave. The property itself is very well laid out with easy access for elderly and children with golf carts to take us around the property. Rooms are spaced out for privacy, peace and quiet. The rooms themselves are huge with very comfortable beds and furniture and tonns of amenities. The fishing pond, jogging track and vegetable garden was a very nice touch. The main area with the restaurant, bar, play area and gym was more than enough to keep both adults and kids entertained, especially when the staff willingly look after the kids when needed. Coming to the meals and services in general, we were extremely Impressed. All our meals were excellent. Even the usual dreaded packed breakfast for safari, usually its hard to eat, but not here. Our kids really enjoyed all the packed meals just as much as the dining in experience. The food overall was delicious and the staff extremely accommodating. The chef made sure we got whatever we wished for. Our kids had pancakes for dinner. That says alot. Similarly, all other staff where too good. The team is very well equipped with hospitality skills, from the watchman all the way to the manager. With such attention to service, the way the property has been built and the fact that its only 20 mins drive to the Ngorongoro Crater gate, I see myself coming back here over and over again. Highly recommend it to anyone with kids, with elderly and even just couples. Special thanks to Juma, Maria and the chef for making our Easter break amazing
