I agree with the previous reviews – this hotel definitely doesn't feel like a 5-star property. Even a 4-star rating would be a stretch.
Let's start from the beginning. We were checked in exactly at 2 PM. We arrived earlier, and while waiting, we went for a massage across the street, so the wait was actually quite pleasant. When booking, we requested a high floor, and we were given a room on the 33rd floor, which we appreciated. We booked a suite, but even the room category didn't improve the cleanliness. This is the second hotel we've stayed at in Nha Trang, so we have something to compare it to, and it was genuinely dirty here. The first thing I did when we entered the room was pick up someone's long black hairs from the floor – quite unpleasant, I must say. The floor wasn't really cleaned during the week either. Our room had a carpet, and I don't think it had ever been cleaned. But then again, cleaning is often subpar in Asia, so no cockroaches, and I'm grateful for that. The view, of course, was stunning. We had both sea and city views, which was essentially why we booked a suite – to enjoy the scenery. Apart from hangers, there was no storage space for clothes in the room. We had to improvise, storing clothes in the bedside table drawer, on the chair, and on the sofa. The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub.
As for breakfast, it's served on the 3rd and 4th floors. On our first morning, we went to the 3rd floor, and the next morning, we went to the 4th. We preferred the 4th floor; it felt cozier, and it had an exit to a terrace, where we mostly had breakfast since my mom felt cold in the main hall. The weather in September was perfect, like velvet season. The breakfast was monotonous, but we never left hungry. Surprisingly, the coffee was delicious; we drank it every morning with condensed milk. There were various pastries, fruits and vegetables, scrambled eggs and omelets, soups with meat (like pho bo), sometimes with noodles, as well as dim sum and banh mi. In general, there was plenty to eat.
The location is definitely excellent, not far from the sea, about a 5-7 minute leisurely walk. We rented sun loungers, with prices ranging from 100,000 to 150,000 VND. The first row by the sea was 150,000, the second row 120,000 or 130,000, and the third row 100,000 VND per sun lounger. We always went to the same guys right in front of the DTX hotel; their loungers weren't crammed together, offering some personal space, though you had to walk a bit.
There's also a laundry across from the hotel. We washed our clothes a couple of times; they charge 60,000 VND for 3 kg. If you bring less than 3 kg, they still charge for 3 kg. We picked up our clothes the same day, towards the evening. Honestly, I don't recommend it. The first time, they washed well, but the second time, we got back clothes with some stains that weren't there originally. The clothes had only been worn a couple of times, without stains. If you walk a little further down that road, there's another laundry on the right. We didn't use it, but the girls there seemed friendlier than the ones by the road.
There's definitely a shortage of sun loungers by the pool.
