Niigata Grand Hotel Reviews

I chose this hotel because I thought it was close to the river and expected good location. It was a little disappointing that it wasn't on the river. The room was clean so I have no complaints. There is nothing nearby so if you check in late at night, be careful to go to a convenience store. The last order for dinner is early.

I stayed by car. The location was about 25 minutes walk from Niigata Station, but about 10 minutes walk from the Bandai Bus Center and Nishibori area, so I thought it was a good location considering the ease of parking since I went around Niigata City. The building is a little old, but it was clean, the facilities were sufficient, and the customer service was good, so I was very satisfied.

川沿い景色が見れる朝食レストラン。 和食か洋食を選ぶのですが、どちらも大変美味しかったです。 ビュッフェスタイルと違い落ち着いて食べれます。 部屋も古い建物を上手に改装してるので、今時のホテルよりかなり広く感じます。

彼の20歳のお祝いで少し奮発して予約サイトのようなオシャレな部屋をコメントしてお願いし予約したのですが信濃川とは反対側のお部屋で道路しか見えず少し残念な気持ちになりました。サプライズは成功したので良かったです。

It's a well-established hotel with 10 floors above ground. When you enter the entrance, you are greeted by this spacious lobby. The front desk clerk was a foreigner (Western), but he spoke fluent Japanese and served us politely. It seems that weddings are also held at this hotel. In rural areas, weddings are often held at hotels. Come to think of it, the separate building seems to be a building specifically for weddings. The rooms are not very spacious. I guess that's normal for a business hotel? Most business hotels these days have large hot spring baths, but this hotel seems to be a bit old and only has a bathroom in the room. I decided to have breakfast. There seems to be a choice between Japanese and Western food. I chose a Japanese dish called "Niigata Breakfast." It's a breakfast made with ingredients from Niigata. They use not only Uonuma Koshihikari rice, but also Yukihikari pork from Uonuma and eggs from the local Nakajo area. On this day, I was served porridge made with Koshihikari rice.
