Hotel de Naturaleza Rodalquilar & Spa Cabo de Gata
"The hotel is very close to the beach in a tranquil area."
Apartahotel Vistamar San José
"All perfect except the time I don't follow much is this time."
Hostal Boutique Bajío
"Lovely little Hostal in a quiet traditional village, San Jose is very close by and just a few minutes in the car and there are some beautiful surrounding areas. Hostal was clean but basic as you would expect, beds comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Ate lunch at the Mexican restaurant attached to Hostal and the food was really good. Wouldn’t recommend the breakfast as the options are limited."
Hospederia Rural Los Palmitos
"The location is very careful, as new. The attention is very good. Very nice. A few minutes from the beach in car, but away from noise."
El Dorado San José
"The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. The old and hard bed, unable to sleep well in a relaxing team like this, with a small investment, they would have a 10-star accommodation."
Cortijo Boutique Siete Calas
"A rural, sympathetically designed stunning retreat set above the beautiful El Playazo beach. Pristine, very spacious rooms ; Landscaped with care and a real feast for the senses. The roof terrace was a special place with views over the volcanic hills and the sea. Hotel food was delicious with local wines and buffet breakfast was generous and fresh. Service from Julia especially and her small team was attentive, personal and friendly. Tiny plunge pool so we swam in the sea most days, Very wild and un-touristy area to explore; impossible without a vehicle."
Wecamp Cabo de Gata
"Yes, depending which was you look at it, many of the ‘negative’ reviews here are true. Yes, the drive onto site isn’t for the faint hearted, and can feel scary but take it slowly and you’ll be fine. Prepare for spectacular views and gorgeous dark skies from your pitch. Yes, it’s noisy when it’s windy, but it’s camping, it’s a part of the adventure. Yes, the on site restaurant may or may not be open, but you’re only a stroll away from Las Negras (there’s a lovely Ice Cream place serving great coffee over that way) if you’re desperate to eat out. Yes, the shop opens and closes before the day has started, but be prepared, order your fresh bread and pastries the evening before and nip to the shop before lunch to pick up any essential items you need. The prices are far from expensive and you’ll find everything you might need. We stayed in a Family+ tent. It was more than spacious enough for our family of 4 and everything that comes with us - suitcases, shopping etc. The beds were unbelievably comfortable and the accommodation well equipped with all of your glamping essentials. Including a coffee machine. Hot water and powerful showers in a good sized bathroom and space outside to enjoy balmy evenings under the dark skies. The staff speak very basic English, so using some basic Spanish in return will get you far. We asked our time here, as seasoned ‘campers’ and travellers, who do enjoy the finer things when it comes to accommodation, we were not disappointed. The site was spotless and felt safe, and the facilities clean - including the pools. A short stroll through the site lands you on a gorgeous beach that offers great views and snorkelling (rock shoes recommended). There’s Boules, a small play park and volley ball on site, too. Laundry facilities are available - but at a €4 fee. Bring change! We would return to Wecamp Cabo de Gata and are already exploring other Wecamp locations."
Hotel Don Ignacio
"What a gem! The hotel is right by the beautiful beach of San Jose, and is easy reach of a host of restaurants, bars and cafes. The hotel is well appointed, the room was spacious, well appointed, clean and comfortable. The hotel provides a buffet breakfast which was very good. The terrace around the pool is excellent, and the pool was perfect. The Sky bar provides stunning views over San Jose. The whole team of the hotel were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. When they found out it was husband’s birthday they even surprised him with a birthday cake 🎂. We will be going again."
