Kamenoi Hotel Okunikko

The lake view from the accommodation was amazing!! The location was also good (though it would be hard to get there without a car ㅜㅜ). The hot spring was so good that I went twice a day. 😍😍 The buffet was delicious too. The downside was that the facilities were a bit old-fashioned. There were many scratches and marks visible throughout the room, and the room used a physical key instead of a card key!!

The facilities show their age, and the thin walls were a minor concern, but for the price, it definitely exceeded our expectations. The food, in particular, was absolutely fantastic! The buffet, featuring an abundance of local Nikko ingredients, offered a wide variety of dishes, all meticulously prepared and flavorful. We thoroughly enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. There were many families, creating a welcoming atmosphere where you can feel at ease even with children. I think this is the perfect hotel for a family trip to fully experience the nature of Oku-Nikko.

The hot spring was really mediocre, too crowded, and had a strong body odor in the pools. The food was also subpar, rough, and of poor quality. Overall, it wasn't worth the price. I generally wouldn't consider staying here again.

The hotel is quite new, and the room is very spacious. We enjoyed soaking in the hot springs at night and strolling along the Onsen street during the day. It's very close to the Yumoto Onsen Ski Resort, which was great as it was mostly locals skiing there. The only downside is that it's a bit far to get to; you have to take the bus and get off at stop number 45.

Loved it, absolutely loved it! The hot springs and food were both fantastic. The scenery outside was also super beautiful.
