A terrible experience. Our plan was to relax and do PADI diving, so we booked for three nights with a 24-hour cancellation policy. The room was awful; it smelled damp, crows were croaking on the ceiling, and it was very noisy. The window wouldn't even open. The room was actually more expensive than many other options in Upuveli or other more interesting areas. The worst part is that we only stayed one night and canceled the other two because they didn't give us any trouble. They told us they would refund our money, then excused themselves by saying that Booking.com's policies didn't allow it. A complete lie. Then they said they would refund it but that they weren't a big hotel and couldn't afford such excuses. Two weeks later, we're still waiting for a refund of about €80. Day after day, they keep giving us the runaround, saying they've gone to the bank and the transfer should be arriving soon, but we never get an answer.
