This excellent hotel is really a resort. It is off the beaten path, but worth the extra travel time to get there. The staff are very friendly and the food at both restaurants is very good. There is easy access to the beach and it’s quiet. We were there for new years. I highly recommend it!

Last stop on our 16 day adventure through Sri Lanka and this certainly impressed! Best beach so far with fisherman doing their daily catch which you can watch from breakfast, cows roaming the beach which is awesome to see. Beautiful pool with bungalows, the rooms were so large and impressive, great relaxed vide, fantastic service, good food menu with reasonable prices, considering the remoteness of this place the food available was great. volley ball net right out the front was good for a friendly game, with a nice Pina Colada 🍸 Would highly recommend.

A wonderful place to rest and recharge. Rooms are excellent. Setting is idyllic. The beach is right in front of the hotel. Walking on the beach and watching the fishermen pull in their catch by rope on the beach is unforgettable. Recommended.

We stayed here for 6 wonderful nights. It was perfect in every way. The room was large and had a really comfy bed. Tea and coffee facilities and a mini bar. The restaurant offers a great selection of dishes and we were spoilt for choice even though we had breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. The pool is very clean if you want an alternative to the sea for a swim. The beach is clean and safe and the sea is so warm. Etty has trained all her staff to a very high standard in all areas and everyone was so friendly. They also have a great beverage menu at very reasonable prices. Their cocktails are so cheap and they bring them to your sunbed on the beach. We would definitely recommend you stay here if you visit Nilaveli. We would alsol recommend going on an evening lagoon boat tour which is only just up the road. Cost just 5000 rupees for both of us. It's the second time we have done this tour and it's beautiful and very interesting.

We simply fell in love with this place...right on the beach with no one to disturb you, it leaves you only with your thoughts...and the local fishermen..The owner was very friendly, the stuff were really nice and polite and the food in the rainbow lounge was soooo goood! This is one of the places which make you wish you could stay there forever....! If we have the chance, we´ll definitely come again!

We had a wonderful stay at Nilaveli Beach Hotel. The staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always welcoming, which really made a difference to our experience. The rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable, and the hotel grounds are large, green, and beautifully shaded—perfect for relaxing. Breakfasts and dinners were very good, with an abundant selection and tasty food every day. Overall, a peaceful and enjoyable hotel with great service. Highly recommended!

A great beach hotel set in lovely cool gardens right against the beach, good to see you clean your length of beach too. Really pleasant and helpful staff and great restaurant food, we had a great stay here. Would be good to see the hotel move away from plastic water bottles in room and onto refillable glass 🙏🏻
