I lost my cell phone and it was subsequently found at a train station some 200 km away. The Hotel front desk staff were helping me with phone calls and translations to try and recover the phone, until suddenly the cooperation stopped. They advised me that the Hotel manager told them not to help me anymore because there was nothing in it for the hotel. It was explained to me that the Hotel wouldn't make any money helping me. No one had asked me to pay for any assistance and even after offering payment the front desk were told to drop the matter. The hotel is pleasant and pretty but overall the rooms are a bit spartan. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The hotel staff, apart from the manager, were friendly and helpful. We would have rated this hotel experience higher were it not for the manager's attitude and policy.

The hotel is very well placed in the centre of the old town. Our room was spacious, peaceful, spotless and had everything we needed. The staff were all very welcoming. Thank you.

Stunning hotel in the centre of the old town. The most delightful court yards and lovely deep plunge pool. Our room was stunning and very big. Very comfy bed and great pillows. The air conditioning worked very well and was lovely and quiet too. The staff were very proffessional and friendly. Delcious food.

This hotel is stylish and elegant. The small garden and pool area is peaceful and beautiful. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Nimes; no need to consider anywhere else.

Hôtel: Hôtel Chouleur Margaret Rank: 4 | Staff: 5 StarMatch: above Location: perfectly located in old town. 1Liner: Fantastic hotel in historic & interesting Nîmes. Staff were stars. Great Bits: staff, room, courtyards, location. Good Bits: pool Bad Bits: no lift, need to walk out of old town (quick) to get transport.

Absolutely beautiful building, upgraded suite-luxurious, staff extremely efficient and polite and spoke English. The staff could not be better. Magnificent location ! Downside ? No hot water in morning / no lift for stairs. Food in bar superb though.

Central location. Helpful and friendly staff. Delicious breakfast with ample choices and good coffee. Room, very comfortable and relaxing. Strong WiFi.Stunning building with beautifully restored ceiling and stair well. A treat stay over - exceptional.

Beautiful hotel. Large spacious rooms. Great central location in town. The restaurant was awesome. They have two. The celebrity chef came out to service our tables. Loved the gnocchi and the rice pudding and the strawberry deserts. They also have a pool.
