Hotels Near Neigembos in Ninove

I stayed before at the Tower Hotel and had no complaints - this time it was a difference like day and night. I was accommodated across the yard/car park and had to climb up iron stairs with heavy luggage as no lift/no porter. The hotels website describes itself as being focused on luxury and enjoyment .....My room was dull, dark and boring. Not even a writing desk to work from. Curtains/windows to be closed at all times as facing a guest passage/smoking area. When requesting for a rooms change the reply one of indifference like on arrival - unwelcoming bordering on arrogance. When I noted that my otherwise ok bathroom had no soap I had to climb again down the iron stairs only to be told by the receptionist that ‘’ The Housekeeper was told by the Manager that they are no longer allowed to buy soap ‘’ and that I could use the body wash from little plastic tubes. This is the first time when staying at a hotel that I had to go shopping to buy some soap. This environmentally not so friendly hotel provides as so-called 4 star hotel toothbrush glasses made from plastic wrapped in plastic. Breakfast is only until 09am - another first for me - and do not expect to be greeted . This is the NO smiles hotel and do not bother to ask for a later than1100 am check out which is met by a near hostile reply ‘ 30 Euros for 2 hours’ After sitting 4 hours in a not very comfortable lobby the receptionist could not even be bothered and lift his eyes from this computer screen to say good-by to my fellow travellers . As a well seasoned seasoned widely travelled Hotelier this is about THE worst experience as far as hospitality is concerned

I stayed for one night here bei g in the city for a football trip. The hotel is everything I would expect from an Ibis, no thrills, but clean, and comfortable. The room was decent and the bed very comfortable and the bathroom was fine albeit fairly small. The breakfast was decent, all you can eat and drink with a selection of hot , cold meats with cheese, fruits, pastries and yoghurts and toast and it all tasted good. Slight complaint that I waited at the bar to get served and was ignored so gave up - but otherwise the staff were fine. Another bonus is the hotel is literally a few minutes walk from Erasmus metro station which is only 20 minutes from the city centre. I would use it again.

Close to the headquarters of the Belgium national football team, the facilities are very new, the breakfast is very rich, the service staff is of high quality and the English is very good. But no public transportation. Suitable for self-driving and business trips.

Even more affordable prices! The hotel was renovated on the original site of a bank office building a hundred years ago and some of the architectural decorations have been retained. Downstairs, on the next street is a gourmet check-in point for various restaurants. Downstairs, on the left is a super trendy craft beer restaurant with dozens of varieties. The gourmet stall cooperates with Belgian beer, which is super delicious and cheap. Great location with free parking. Friendly, efficient staff and the room was clean and comfortable. Decent WiFi and TV had several English speaking channels. Only tiny quibble was the hairdryer which wouldn't have been able to blow out a candle (first world problems and not worth dropping a star!).
