I particularly appreciated the Omani staff and quiet atmosphere, fast Wi-Fi, or location The staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived until we checked out."

"We stayed here for two nights to explore Nizwa and surroundings. We liked the hotel quite a lot. We especially appreciated the layout - it's really nice to step outside your hotel room and be outside (and not in a dark hallway). The hotel was clean and it was nice to relax by the pool in the afternoon. Food was also good; we especially liked the al la carte dinner menu. Breakfast was very continental - we would have appreciated more local options, but quality was good."

"We were pleased with our stay at Al Dar Inn. Our rooms were large and well-furnished with decor that incorporated the natural materials of the area in a colorful creative style. Amenities included a mini-fridge and kettle with a coffee/tea set-up. Located within the historic district, we were steps away from the Nizwa museum and a short walk (5 minutes?) from the historic sites, souk, shops, and restaurants. The beds were comfortable and the area was quiet so we slept very well. We appreciated the onsite parking. The hotel staff were thorough in providing information at check-in and came quickly when we needed assistance with the television set-up. On a rainy evening, we were touched when they delivered snacks to our room (knowing that many guests would stay in their rooms). This is a new property and facilities such as the pool, garden, and restaurant are still in construction. We knew this in advance and this did not impact our stay. However, we look forward to returning to see the finished resort!"
Shorfet Al Alamin Hotel ★★
"Our stay at Shorfet Al Alamin Hotel was a mixed experience with both positives and a few major concerns. The most disappointing part was finding a scorpion inside the room the next morning, which was quite disturbing. Also, one of the beds in our room was broken, and I had to be shifted to another room during the stay. However, the staff handled everything very well — the service team was prompt, polite, and genuinely apologetic about the inconvenience caused. The food was definitely one of the highlights, with both breakfast and dinner being very good, and compliments to the chef for the excellent preparation. A nice gesture from the team was arranging takeaway breakfast for us on one of the days since we had an early hiking plan. Another convenient aspect was that the car could be parked right outside the room, which made access very easy throughout the stay."
