Stayed over night in the Cambrian Inn whist on a business trip. Arrived about 6.30pm to be greeted by Hannah who was very friendly and chatty, showed me to my room which was beautifully clean and steeped in charm and character as well as being very functional and well equipped. Headed down to the bar for food at about 7pm and ordered the Beef Bourgignon pie from a lovely varied menu which was very reasonably priced. Hannah again as my server was excellent and made sure I had everything I needed. The pie was absolutely sublime, and the portion sizes are certainly generous! Great night's sleep in a huge oakframe bed with quality pillows and lovely mattress, and the shower was spot on also. Sometimes in older properties, the water pressure is rubbish, but not here! Breakfast in the morning was cooked and served by Robin who was a great host, very friendly and helpful, and the cooking of everything on the breakfast was to my exact preference. (I requested the egg flipped as I don't like runny yolk, so don't criticise the picture! 😄) All in all, perfect place in a perfect setting with fantastic hosts and owners. Could not recommend highly enough and I hope to visit again soon!

We've been to eat here many times but this was our first time staying overnight. Robyn and Hannah were among the most helpful, friendly and accommodating inn owners that I've encountered for a long time! The room was clean and airy, with a nice modern bathroom and bed, but plenty of historic charm (think old-style wooden beams on the ceiling). Just mind your head as there are a couple of low ceilings on the staircase. Great food and drink, as always, for dinner and breakfast. The owners and staff were attentive and happy to help out at any time of day. We will definitely be back!

Renovated to a high standard while retaining its old world charm, this delightful Inn enjoys a good position in a lovely village. Excellent food and a very comfortable bed after a busy day exploring the surrounding sights made for a great weekend. Very friendly staff who are also knowledgeable about the area was very useful, especially about bluetits. 😁 Thank you, I will be back.

Excellent food in a friendly environment. The food was exceptional, served beautifully and really tasty. The staff were so friendly and engaging. We were allowed to bring our dog to a small separate eating area which was great. It was the difference between having good quality freshly cooked food at a local family business or having to eat in a chain restaurant just down the road.

We had a great meal in this lovely family run pub. Solva is a beautiful village with some stunning walks and we stopped here for food. Menu has some great pub classics and ours tasted great. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the new owner Robin told us they also have rooms so we are planning another trip soon.

I had Sunday lunch here which was absolutely delicious. Meat was cooked to perfection and the cabbage was the best I’ve had in years! I would love to know their secret. Staff were very friendly. Thank you for making us so welcome

This was SUCH a good find and lovely place to stay. We felt we were treated extremely well and were warmly welcomed. They have a great attitude. Nothing too much trouble. We ate in the dining room and the meal was delicious, carefully considered and well presented . The sandwiches made for our walk the following day brought joy to a wet day!
