Rodeway Inn North Charleston - Ashley Phosphate

Put simply, don’t go here unless you don’t mind slumming it. You will suffer from the noise, hangers-on talking outside your window late AM, the dryer clanging in the room corridor at 2:39am, no real food at “breakfast”, smoke seeping thru door of non-smoking room. The worst ever. Run away.

The room was basically ok. Just the area was sketchy. Lots of police around the area. Breakfast was "continental" which meant cereal, muffin, and bread. The coffee was not good. Went to Circle K to get coffee. Just my honest review. Owners was nice though

This was not well maintained at all! The floors were filthy, no more white sock. The tub was in terrible shape. No plug, water faucet was designed for a sink, not a tub! Bed needed replaced, very uncomfortable! Frozen beer was in the refrigerator. No place to hang our clothes. There was no coffee maker after getting dressed to go to breakfast, what they had was gross! Breakfast was being closed down before 8 am. Thank goodness for the Circle K next door. The pool area was unusable! The seats of the chairs were rotted and still left for people to use. It’s a wonder someone hasn’t fallen through and hurt themselves! The nicest thing about the place was the bathroom mirror. It was backlit and the nicest thing about the place. Needless to say, we won’t be returning, probably to any Days Inn ever again 😭

There was underwear behind the bathroom door left from the previous guests that wasn't cleaned up by staff. I have never had a motel room that didn't have a place to hang up clothes. The breakfast was basic Continental with cereal and breads for toast

The A/C was working very well. We had to turn the temperature up because it was that cold. The only thing that was really bad is they didn’t clean the room well. The bed was ok but we were nervous since the floor and baseboards and tub were not clean like they should have been.

Pool was dirty and a swarm of termites were floating on top of the water. Tub was dirty and bottom of tub was cracked. No coffeemaker in room. If all you need is a bed to sleep in and get back on the road without showering it would be adequate.

Please don’t stay here. The photos are catfishing you. Staff was friendly, but the rooms stink and it is not safe at all.

The girl at the reception was excellent, helped me and was great! The room was very stuffy and humid even with the air and the pool was not very clean. Room organized clean sheets, but when you open the room it has a strange smell of humidity. Leaving the door open for a few minutes the smell comes out.
