Dilkhusa Grand Hotel by Compass Hospitality ★★★
"Great location, the rooms were decent but did smell something off sometimes in the room I was staying."
The Poltimore Pods ★★★
The Royal & Fortescue Hotel ★★★
"Absolutely love this hotel! We’ve visited several times for the best Sunday carvery in Barnstaple and were so excited to stay the night. We weren’t disappointed! Will be back soon 😀"
Kentisbury Grange ★★★★
"I’ve been fortunate enough to be well travelled and stayed in hundreds of hotels but this one is one of the best. The little details make this place so special. The accommodation was of exceptional quality with a massive bathroom, the room was spacious but so cosy I was asleep by 9.30! The food was delicious, the quality was outstanding and so lovely to see the chef taking real pride in what he does. The service was amazing, the waitresses and management were so accommodating and went above and beyond for us. This is the best value for a hotel, we hope to be back v soon!!"
Travelodge Barnstaple Hotel ★★★
"Barnstaple. The atmosphere was so warm very good reception, neat room . No noise or or unnecessary distraction Very good."
The Sherborne Lodge ★★★
"As per another review on here, I experienced a domestic incident on one of the nights I stayed (shouting, swearing, banging doors). This was quite scary as I was staying on my own. I found the room quite run down and didn't get the chance to have breakfast as they only served from 8.30am. Positives are that the host was very friendly and the towels and bed were new and clean but I'm afraid I won't be staying again. "
The North Cliff Hotel ★★★★
Yeo Dale Hotel ★★★★
"Overall a good stay (6 person golf trip). Clean, comfortable and good breakfast. Rooms are fine if a little dated. There is a lot of road noise in the front."

Rising Sun Hotel
St James by the Quay
St Vincent Guest House
"Absolutely superb, this has to be the best B&B we've ever stayed, nothing is to much trouble and Maria's attention to detail is outstanding, "for example" there's no struggling to open those the little sauce sachets at breakfast in the morning as a small pair of scissors is provided and Clives breakfast will set you up for the whole day, we felt very welcome as did our little dog who was also well looked after, we all hope we can return one day...."
Croyde Bay Hotel or Self Catering
"Brilliant location near beach. Aimed mainly at families, evening entertainment typical holiday camp for young children or oaps. Very good service and well maintained facilities. Excellent breakfast, clean rooms and fun games onsite like crazy golf. I had party of 3 adults staying in the hotel side. Best value in the area for a room with 3 or 4 adults. Highly recommend for a trip to North Devon"
North Devon Resort
Trimstone Manor Country House Cottages
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Trimstone Manor Hotel. The whole place has an old world charm about it. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and the delicious 'Full English Breakfast' certainly lived up to its name! Our mixed group were able to enjoy the pool table in the games room and also the large swimming pool - such a great facility. We were able to have our own Qigong session in a secluded part of the pretty and extensive garden one morning, accompanied by the rather raucous calls of the resident peacock (who obliged us with several displays of his magnificent tail feathers). We were not blessed with the best weather over our weekend stay and can only imagine how relaxing it would be, and how splendid the whole place would look, in lovely bright sunshine. We are all certainly very keen to return to this quiet and charming family run hotel."
The Imperial Hotel
"This was truly one of the most unforgettable birthday experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was beyond anything I expected. The staff went out of their way to make the day feel extra special, and I was genuinely moved by their kindness. The room was stunning, the vibe was just right, and every facility added to the comfort of our stay. A big thank you to the lovely lady at reception, her warm welcome and constant support throughout made all the difference. It was a birthday I’ll always remember!"
The Crown Hotel
"Chris went above and beyond to welcome us to the Crown, despite us arriving late due to delays with our travel arrangements. Incredible cooked breakfast and such lovely service all round. Thank you so much and special shout out to Sandra from the bar/restaurant too :)"
Exmoor Manor Guest House
"Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. Bathroom was gorgeous. Owners have done a wonderful job bringing the hotel up to a very high standard. Breakfast was excellent with lots to chose from. Plentiful parking. Great for visiting Lynton."
South View Guest House
"Charming place. Great hospitality and good breakfast. Own parking. Penny and Drew are the perfect hosts. Lynton has a lot to offer."
The Olive Branch
"Stayed in Room 3 with roll top bath and Harbour View, absolutely stunning, better even than pics. Jo made us feel extremely welcome, the breakfast was really delicious and plentiful. Range of choices, all freshly cooked to order. Having spent just one night here I would happily book again and come stay for longer. Avoid Wednesday in Feb as most restaurants closed."
