A reasonable stay and good value. The double/twin room (no 8) is advertised as having a shower and stand alone bath but there is no bath! The room was not really cleaned in the morning, the bed was made but that was all; it had not been hoovered nor was the bathroom tidied or the tea tray replenished. A pity we could not eat there in the evenings as the kitchen extractor was broken! All the staff are helpful and friendly but we will probably look at other options next time we are in the area.

I stayed here with my husband for 2 nights on a business trip and was so impressed with this lovely Inn which is run by the owners Karl and Zuzanna. We stayed in one of the most recently refurbished rooms and it was beautiful. Our room was a really good size and absolutely immaculate with a large comfy bed, loads of storage for clothes ( you could easily stay for at least a week and put everything away that you have brought with you). The bathroom had a large shower and free standing bath, and again was immaculate. My husband had stayed the week before for 5 nights in another room and found it to be very comfortable and roomy, and our work crew that stayed also found their rooms the same, hence why we returned this last week. The evening menu is small but there is also a Specials menu. Over the course of our stays we tried almost everything on the menu and you couldn’t fault it. Personally I have to recommend the fish and chips; very tasty haddock (locally caught and bought at Poole Harbour) in the most amazingly light batter that I have ever tasted. I tried the Pheasant casserole from the Specials and it was very good. Breakfast is cooked to order and again it’s really very good. As we had to get to work early on the morning that we left Karl made us a continental breakfast to take with us 👍. Karl and Zuzanna were so warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. We are planning to stay again in the spring but it will be for a relaxing few days to explore the local area. Thank you guys for your lovely hospitality 😊

We were visiting family in the area & stayed for 2 nights. The Inn looks very attractive from the roadside with a good car park & outside seating areas for all weathers. Inside the Inn is full of character with a public bar & dining rooms. The welcome was friendly & breakfast arrangements were given. The stairways have low ceilings, so mind your head! The room was quite small & the double bed took up most of the space. The en-suite was adequate & everything was spotless. The food was excellent, both breakfast & evening. All staff friendly & nothing too much trouble. ** (Only issue, the paint on the bedroom walls could do with a refresh, looking a bit tired)

A lovely tucked away country pub with beautiful outdoor decor and covered seating area with patio heaters and a wood fired pizza oven. Small carpark but managed to park every time. The staff were fantastic and very welcoming. Explained everything when we arrived and Anna guided us to our room explaining about access to the accommodation through the night. Breakfast was ordered the evening before to enable the kitchen to be prepared which was a nice idea. A nice selection of cooked breakfast. The room was small but had everything you’d need maybe a slightly bigger tv though would be nice on that wall. Bed was comfy with a thick duvet and comfortable pillows. A few not so good bits, although there was 3 cereals maybe a few more selections of cereal would be nice as they were very bland selections. The apple juice was warm, maybe having jugs with ice blocks in them would help to keep it cooler. The room was soo hot even with the windows open. The breakfast although very good size portions I was a bit disappointed with the bacon and eggs which were rather over cooked both mornings.

Haven't finished my stay yet - very impressed so far. The place is lovely, rooms comfy and clean, and breakfast spot on. The staff have been friendly and helpful and have gone the extra mile. We also had woodfired pizzas last night - really good.

I love Thai green curry so ordered the Thai green curry here was absolutely disgusting. The chicken was rubbery and the sauce was like a watery like chip curry sauce. I was So disappointed, service was great but I'm afraid It doesn't make up for the bad food. I'm afraid I won't be visiting here again.
