If you need to be downtown, this is a good place to stay. It is easy to get to and it's almost easier to go into downtown or come out of downtown than it is to drive around downtown. It's is also a good value. Only two types of hotels are actually downtown. They are either super expensive and nice or reasonable and dumps. You get something nice at a reasonable price here. Whenever we have a competition for cheerleading either in downtown or at Hy-Vee Arena, we stay here (so about twice a year).

We loved this hotel stay. Breakdast was hot & fresh every morning. The breakfast attendant, front desk clerk, and the maintenance guy were so sweet. The pool wasnt heated enough and he turned up the heat in the pool and in the room. It was perfect for our spring break. Great location lots of local eats and things to do near by. We will definitely be back

the floor in our room was a little sticky but other than that, clean and in good order. we were in a room on the end of the first floor near an exterior door which was loud all throughout the night but that is no fault of the hotel! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to meet the needs of our dance team! We will be back if ever competing in the area again!

It was great. I will say the pool had a very strong chlorine smell and it hurt my eyes.

The bathroom door didn't shut all the way and you could see through the gap. The curved shower curtain rod was loose, so the curtain didn't cover the entire shower area and ended up drooping in the middle. We had trouble getting to sleep because we could hear the room above us (creaky floor, talking/TV sounds). It made for a long night because it kept waking up my kid, who panicked thinking someone was trying to get into our room. On the bright side, the staff was nice and the pool area was clean. The beds were reasonably comfortable and the heating/AC worked well.

We were in Kansas City for a 3 day volleyball tournament. My daughter woke up sat morning with 4 insect bites on her hand and arm. We dismissed them as mosquitos and played all day. The swelling soon began and by Saturday night, her hitting hand was very swollen, along with 3 other places. She was unable to play sunday morning. We had to go to urgent care, were prescribed a steroid. This tournament was a national qualifying event, and my daughter is the Captain and lead hitter. Her not being able to play saturday meant 3 lost matches and a wasted weekend. The hotel did move us to a different room sunday night, but the damage was done. The front desk staff were accommodating, but did not seem to take the bites seriously. Between having to find an urgent care open early on a sunday, and her team wasting a weekend, I was too emotional to complain at the time. I have pictures, receipts, told staff about the issue and at the very least I want this stay refunded. I have 3 more trips planned on **********. If I don't get some relief for this trip, I will most likely cancel and start using another travel vendor. Please let me know what is going to be done. Thank you.
