Kilworth House Hotel and Theatre

Lovely place really clean really nice but it says it’s got a spa but all it’s got is one room for massage and treatments so you can’t really call it a spa

It was a very relaxing stay here. The breakfast is worth mentioning because they have a good selection and delicious food.

I just wanted to write a review to express our greatest thanks for our wedding on 25/01/25. We had an absolutely amazing day and so did all of our guests. Every single member of staff were so great, attentive to all of our needs and made our day just so special. We literally couldn't have asked for anything more, and everyone was so helpful in making sure everything we asked for was sorted, even to a better degree than what we wanted! The whole hotel was beautiful, and the staging post was just wonderful. It looked amazing and everyone of our guests commented on how unique and special it was. The food was absolutely amazing! It was probably the best food we've ever had at a wedding, and many comments from guests were the same. There was so much of it as well which was great! From start to finish, with how helpful Caroline was helping us organise it in such a short time, and helping us clear up the day after, it was absolutely amazing and a day we will all remember forever. Thank you so much to each and every one of the staff, I am so glad we chose Kilworth House for our beautiful, sunny, gorgeous, January wedding!

What a Wonderful day! Congratulations to all of the staff at Kilworth House on providing us with a fantastic and faultless birthday celebration for 19 family and friends. From the time we arrived to departure the following morning we were treated and looked after like royalty. Meeting in Byron with reception drinks provided a lovely relaxed atmosphere for all to greet and meet, coats being whisked away by Mamet and presents stored for later in the Shakespeare room. One guest unfortunately not being with us was quickly dealt with and the table rearranged without fuss. As our guests moved into the Shakespear room for lunch everybody was really impressed, it looked spectacular and proved to be a very comfortable room as the afternoon progressed. The food, beautifully served and presented lived up to our expectations of previous experiences at Kilworth and our congratulations go to the chef and kitchen staff on providing such a beautiful meal. As we moved into the afternoon Mamet certainly continued to look after us popping in and out to make sure we needed for nothing. Presents were opened whilst we sat with tea and coffee and a piece of cake expertly cut by the chef, people relaxed talking, playing dominos, cards and enjoying the time together. As 6pm came and most of the guests needed to depart we were left with a small group of eight who checked into their rooms. It was a lovely surprise for us to be able to continue the evening in Bryon, probably allowing other guests in the hotel to relax and enjoy peace and quiet whilst we chatted and laughed the hours away until retiring for the evening to a very comfortable bedroom. Breakfast the following morning continued with the high level of service with a special table for the eight of us quickly put together and wonderful food to savour. Love the new breakfast menu. Again our heart felt thanks go to everybody at Kilworth House for such a fantastic time. We will certainly return and definitely recommend Kilworth to others

Since starting our visits here in 2010 and experiencing the best meal we've ever had there, it hasn't fared so well, until this stay. They now have a new chef, who is definitely a keeper! The food at dinner was exceptional. He obviously cares about the food he prepares and presents and seems very passionate about it. We can't praise him highly enough. So pleased they've finally found someone who delivers as well as the first one we had. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for breakfast. We ordered two vegetarian breakfasts which arrived with a sausage and two thin bacon strips. These were not mentioned on the menu. We had to ask if they were Quorn, as my wife is allergic to Quorn. It turned out that they were, so they had to remove hers and make a new one without them on. What a waste. If the menu had listed them, she would have told them not to put them on her plate and so would I. It could have been nasty had she eaten them. We also had afternoon tea the day before, but waited an hour after being seated before it was delivered.... apparently the order had been missed... not a good advert for their services! Apart from that, the visit was enjoyable and we're very impressed with the new chef. They will be hard pressed to find another as good. We can highly recommend him.

This was our 3rd Christmas at Kilworth and what a joy it was, as usual. The staff at Kilworth are exceptional - so very welcoming and friendly but also very professional. They seem to manage to make everyone feel special! Beautiful decorations, lovely atmosphere, great food - cannot recommend strongly enough.
