Lovely place really clean really nice but it says it’s got a spa but all it’s got is one room for massage and treatments so you can’t really call it a spa

It was a very relaxing stay here. The breakfast is worth mentioning because they have a good selection and delicious food.

Called in here for tea, the hotel is beautiful and very clean, we sat in a lovely lounge overlooking the garden, the staff were friendly and helpful, well worth a visit. We have been here many times usually before the wonderful theatre shows. You cannot book shows at the hotel they have to be booked by telephone or online.

What an absolutely beautiful place, the hotel and grounds are beautiful. Steeped in history with gorgeous decor. We booked for afternoon tea which at almost £30 per head ( without processo) was a real treat. So we really expected something lovely. Don't get me wrong, the orangery where we sat was beautiful, but the food a real let down. The finger sandwiches were odd and no option to change or choose. One goats cheese ( which we don't like) one ham and mustard which was ok and one chicken in curry mayo which we didn't like either. We had already asked if could exchange for normal mayo but this wasn't available. So probably pre made. It wasn't coronation chicken but a really strong curry mayo so we left those along with the goats cheese ones..... Was expecting something like cream cheese and cucumber, egg and watercress or prawn, Something a bit more traditional, especially in an old country house. An alternative choice would have been nice. Small slice of a herby sausage roll was tasty. The scones were also not amazing. We often have a scone out but these were some of the less appealing ones we had ever had. Didnt seem fresh, quite hard. The jam was delicious though ! Good selection of tea and coffee. Staff were lovely. Would we go again, unfortunately not, not even at half the price!!

We decided to stay over when going to a wonderful Jazz Lunch, definitely the right decision. Not only was the lunch fantastic, great service, wonderful food and lovely Jazz, the icing on the cake was the relaxed stay in a perfect room. We were fortunate to stay in The Milton Room, which was immaculate and very very comfortable. If you have merely thought of visiting this hotel, or attending any of their functions/events, don't hesitate. We highly recommend a visit and we look forward to our next visit.

An absolutely stunning building and a nice welcome. i visited as a part of a 30 strong work party for a strategy day and evening. the service was generally good, and exceptional on the booking in process for us as a large group. the food was very nice although very limited menu or ability to provide GF options. Breakfast was a disaster, several of our group did not get breakfast due to the extremely slow service, over an hour to get a cooked breakfast. The quality of the breakfast was ok, with a GF option available. the problem with the GF breakfast option was, all that happened was anything with gluten was removed, no substitute sausage, or black pudding etc. my overall view is that, for a top end hotel and restaurant, this was poor.

What a beautiful place Kilworth House is. We first visited 5 years ago for a friends wedding and fell in love with the place, so decided to return for our 20th wedding anniversary, and it didn't disappoint. From the outside to the inside it's just WOW! You feel like you are living a life of luxury in the 1880's, it's just beautiful. The service from reception to the restaurant was faultless. Staff were so friendly and professional, they couldn't do enough for you. We had our evening meal and breakfast at the hotel and could not fault anything. How anyone can give this place less than a 4* is beyond me. We will be back 100%, thank you for a memorable stay.

Have stayed before and I so wish that this lovely place would get some things ironed out. First the positive: Welcome at reception on arrival excellent. Room comfortable with nice touches, good pillows, fruit and water provided, and hotel spotless and so well maintained, a beautiful place. Dinner tasty and evening service generally good. The visit was good value overall (had the breakfast not been an issue). Not so great: The breakfast is not good and this was an issue when we stayed before. The bacon is overdone, dry and crispy, the sausage not browned at all and very anaemic looking, ingredients not good quality, cheap watery beans and tasteless black pudding, uncooked tomato and in spite of being asked how I wanted my egg cooked it arrived overdone. The breakfast took an age to come and was barely warm. I mentioned all of this to waiting staff. Bar service: the young man working the bar needs some training. He is not able to manage the job without engaging customers in his problems, openly displaying stress and frustration and blaming his behaviour on having had ‘a long day’. Water in room was not hot. We had to review our individual bills at checkout as separate bills/tabs seem difficult to provide. This could be so much better and I truly hope that these comments, and those in other reviews are acted upon.

An absolute haven of peace and harmony, very attentive staff, first class food and lovely surroundings make for a very relaxing stay. Bedrooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was taken in the superbly appointed orangery, wonderful choice of items including a beautiful smoked haddock omelette. We can't wait to return.
