Plough Hotel

Stayed in room 26 last night ( 17th July ) and woke up this with bites / stings on my arms and legs. Made reception aware this morning so hopefully this will be addressed. Regularly stay in hotels through work and have done for the last 4 years this is by far the worst stay and experience I have had. Avoid this place if at all possible .

Good hotel. Staff are ok. Could do with modernisation. Some rooms with no ensuite bathrooms are too expensive for what you get.

Room was nice, decent size etc Road noise is horrific, all night. Public areas in need of much needed TLC. Breakfast, never sampled it on the basis that coffee sachets and a hot water boiler paints a picture and is just a straight and complete no no for me. Staff really nice and welcoming. Overall, decent room.

I only stayed for 1 night on a business trip but would have been happy to stay longer, was surprised by the reviews but most poor reviews are now dated. There is a small car park next to the hotel and you just put your registration into the tablet at reception to avoid a parking fine. From the moment I arrived the staff were so welcoming, my room was on the top floor and there are no lifts due to the age of the building but there are plenty of landings to stop on the way up. The room was clean, warm and the bed could have slept 7. Lovely ensuite with walk in shower and the towels were hanging over a warming radiator so were toasty after the shower and they were super fluffy. I ate in the restaurant for my evening meal, it was very relaxed, even with a disco going on in the main room, the ceaser salad was tasty and a good sized portion, the bread and butter pudding was amazing ! Once you leave the bar area you can't hear the main room disco. Your breakfast is made to order and there is a selection of juices, cereals and bread for toasting while you wait. The food was served on a warmed plate and was just right to set you up for the day. The staff throughout the stay were nothing but friendly and helpful.

The hotel and the bedroom we stayed in was very clean, we had breakfast and evening meal at the hotel we believe to be excellent. The staff with many job rolls (receptionist, waitress, working behind the bar, housekeepers ect) where very exceptional ,helpful and friendly, if we ever go back to Northampton we will be staying with you again.

I was welcomed by 'Christine' at the front desk on my arrival, she was so welcoming, smiling, friendly and she was most helpful throughout every aspect of my stay and nothing was a problem for her. The hotel was very clean and well run and most comfortable, homely and pleasant throughout my stay. A lovely experience throughout!

Really nice and comfortable hotel which is in a great location, close to the town centre. The staff are very helpful, in particular Maria who was wonderfully pleasant and accommodating during our stay. Thanks a lot, would visit again

The staff was lovely. And the property was very nice. In the front rooms, the street noise was a little loud. But otherwise it was a great stay.

The Plough Hotel, Northampton is the most friendliest hotel. Manager Rodica, Staffs Christina, Maria, Charlotte, Nadia, Vince and house keeping staffs are wonderful. Building is great historian period one which I love it. Our family will visit there again. Many thanks for taking care while we stay. 💚
