Cross Oak Inn

Simple booking , simple check in .. lovely clean room , lots of space , everything we could want for a 1 night stay , bar was open on our return from a day out in Cardiff in the evening , breakfast was lovely , staff very accommodating, just great . !!

Very welcoming on arrival landlord was lovely, the room was ok good size for family of 5 everything we needed. Booked a table for food which was very nice very quick service really nice food and again really good service. Would definitely visit again the kids really liked the landlord as he was joking with them

Had Sunday lunch here the staff the food was amazing really friendly staff the food was second to none the landlady was checking everything was OK wich it was she stopped to talk even thou she was busy give this place a go you won't find better

The room wasn't what we were expecting as it was a little small and outdated. In between the shower wasn't usable properly one second date of the ice cold next minute piping hot then back to ice cold again. The bathroom floor boards felt like they were going to give way from underneath us and there was a lingering smell from the drains that you would notice when you first walk into the room. For some strange reason we can't work out why the lights flickered a lot both lamp and ceiling. The staff were very very friendly and welcoming the bar facilities for good and we very much enjoyed our evening meals. The only reason we didn't give a five-star was the accommodation and facilities in the room (i.e. shower and toilet) we have paid less than £60 per night for better accommodation.
