Oceanside Ocean Front Cabins

Great location-right above the beach parking lot so a nice view of the ocean from all cabins. Cabins are old but very clean and well equiped

The check in was a little confusing. The instructions I received from the email was to pick up the keys from another location. When we arrived at the location, I called the management phone number since the office was closed. To be fair , we got to the office before the check in time but we just wanted to be sure we were in the right place. Manager told us that we should have gotten an email about a code and the cabin number. I calmly told her that I did not receive an email about that. She instructed us to drive to the location of the cabin and check if the housekeeper is done cleaning, then we can go in. When we got to Oceanside, our cabin was not yet ready and there is no wifi connection, so we couldn’t call the manager. The housekeeper though , is an angel. She got my husband the wifi code and was able to call the manager and confirm our cabin number. The housekeeper did a marvelous job cleaning the cabin and she was so apologetic that it was taKing her so long, but we didn’t mind. We went to the beach and came back at a later time. We tipped her well because she went over and beyond her duties and the company is lucky to have her work for them. She’s a gem.

you can't beat the proximity and access to our favorite beach. That being said, the cabins were probably built in the 60's, and not remodeled since. Pretty run down. Very minimal kitchen supplies - not even a toaster. Shower is only a trickle. Would be wonderful if they'd update, but then would probably cost too much. Also a pain having to check in 3 or so miles away in Netarts.

The cabins are run down and not very clean. This was our second visit and the cabin we stayed in this time has not been dusted or wiped down in a long time. The trim going into one of the bedrooms is coming off and the mold on the shower is coming through the thin cheap paint. The choice to use black caulking in the shower was not a good decision. The couch was comfortable and the beds and linens are nice. I think the cleaning crew works hard to keep things white and that I appreciate. I assume it was Mary who stopped to ask if we needed anything, she was friendly and professional. The kitchen needs more cooking utensils. There is a plastic spatula and ladle but only a metal spoon. It was difficult to cook and not scrape the teflon on the sauce pans. The toaster needs replaced, the flap on the bottom won’t stay closed. Even though the conditions are poor there is something about these cabins that bring comfort and peace to me and my husband. We are scheduled to visit again in November hoping to see the king tides.

Location was the only redeeming quality. Room was run down, upkeep was shoddy at best. I can get a better room, for substantially less. Terrible checkin, had to drive to Netarts for check in.

We liked the location, close to Beach. We did not like the run down Accommodations, Shower was unusable and leaking, Bathroom fan Inoperable, Kitchen Sink leaking, TV Inoperable, Dry Rot in Floor very uncomfortable furniture. Problems Reported to Property Manager and we were told we would be Discounted $100 for the TV not working. We have not received any Discount.
