Premier Inn Birmingham Oldbury (M5, Jct2)

Clear notification that the restaurant closing time is 9pm, I had just travelled through the severe weather and an 8-hour drive to be told at 9:03 that we have finished serving and would not be accommodated, this was bad customer service. This will in future make my choice of where to stay at a premier inn questionable. I had also paid ahead for the service. I apologies if there is clear communication but I certainly did not see this.

I stayed here during the 3rd week of September. We was warmly welcomed by the receptionist, comfortable night sleep. Facilities were good. Only downside was there was a lot of noise coming from the other rooms or when someone else was outside
Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - Oldbury

Enjoyable stay with helpful staff beforehand, taking care of my bags for a couple of days before we arrived. Close to some fast food joints and the motorway. Also some grassy areas to walk the dog. Just one thing - make sure you register your car with the hotel's system. I had driven 400 miles and was not aware of a parking system (okay, I live in a remote part of Scotland that doesn't charge for parking). Staff never mentioned it either, but they were kinda busy between serving drinks and registering guests. Got a bill for £100 which I was not impressed with (finally reduced to £20 after an appeal - which failed, despite me confirming I was a resident at the premises).
