What a fantastic trip we have had. Currently sat writing this as we wait for a flight back to the UK. We have had 4 wonderful nights at the Aparthotel and could not recommend more to young couples who want a mixture of relax and atmosphere. The staff have been kind and accommodating since we arrived. The apartments and overall complex is clean and has everything you need. The snack bar and near by restaurant (with a 10% discount to Aparthotel stayers) had a great selection on their menu and the food was perfect for us. A special mention to Miguel who has not stopped smiling since we arrived and has made us feel so welcome. The weather has been a little on and off but there is plenty to do even when there is rain, the Ubers are quick and cheap over hear and can you get you around Albufeira quickly and easily. Overall a fantastic stay for us

We have just returned from our 5 day trip and absolutely loved it! We got so lucky with the weather after 3 weeks of awful rain however the sun was shining for us. There were plenty of sun loungers around the pool, although not heated so very cold was nice to cool down. We took our 6 month old and all guests and staff were very friendly. The staff in the snack bar was kind and accommodating, we were able to check in early and also check out late meaning we had our room for as long as needed. The location is great, a short walk from the beach, restaurants and supermarket. 15 min taxi to the old town which is a €7 uber too. The hotel was super clean as was our room too! We would defo recommend.

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights from 24th March, and it was exceptional, the apartment itself was beautiful and clean, the pool was lovely with a nice atmosphere, we only ate at the snack bar a couple times but the food was wonderful. The location is great as it’s only about a 5 minute walk into town or 10/15 mins in a taxi to Albufeira, the main thing that makes Oceanus different to the other places we’ve stayed is the staff! Every interaction we had with any member of staff was incredibly pleasant, especially the two ladies that we spoke to in reception mostly every day - I believe their names were Paula and Jacqueline (I apologise if I got the names wrong) they were so incredibly welcoming and attentive and made our stay wonderful❤️

Avoid This Hotel – Cockroach Infestation & Poor Hygiene! I recently stayed at Aparthotel Oceanus in Olhos D´Água, Albufeira, and my experience was absolutely unacceptable. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed cockroaches in my room. When I reported this to the reception, I received conflicting explanations – first, they claimed it was a rare incident, but later admitted that this specific room has a recurring cockroach infestation. • The next day, I found cockroach nymphs behind my bed, proving this was a long-term problem, not an isolated case. • On the third day, large cockroaches started entering through the ventilation system, making it clear that this is a widespread problem in the hotel’s infrastructure. • When I asked hotel staff and the manager when the last pest control treatment was done, none of them could provide an answer. • I was asking about refund every day from my first evening. At third day finally met manager of hotel who told that I already stayed there, so there will be no refund or apology - its my own fault and cockroaches is something what they cant control. Super sad - no sleep at all. All night stayed with lights on to check if my kid isnt sleeping with cokroach.

This is such a nice hotel. Professional reception staff are on hand 24/7 to answer queries or arrange transport to places to visit. They also help with pronunciation for certain Portuguese words if you’re willing to learn. Our air-conditioned apartment for 3 had a twin bedroom and a sofa-bed in the living space. Beds were all comfortable. Cooking area had fridge, two-ring hob and a microwave. Cupboards for food and crockery. Spacious balcony looked over the swimming pool and towards the sea. It was a real treat to come back each evening to a clean apartment, with freshly made beds. The swimming pool is gated - access by keycard. There is a cafe which provides snacks, hot and cold drinks, cocktails and mocktails.

Stayed 4 nights in Feb in a studio apartment. Have stayed before and overall it’s a nice clean complex but a little dated / tired in some places. The bathroom in our apartment was terrible the shower tray had a massive crack & had been filled with silicone so it was very bouncy. Leaking sink tap & lots mould. Had to get a shower mat as was concerned it was unsafe. For what paid overall it was great but had we have paid more such as peak season prices then it would have been unacceptable. The complex has recently been repainted and nice new refurbished reception etc. Beds were comfortable think might be new mattresses and room was cleaned & towels changed daily.

Pro’s of the hotel : Great location of the hotel, right outside of the home was a taxi rank and bus stop. All but one members of staff were friendly and helpful. Close to numerous eateries/restaurants/supermarkets/bars, we stayed during October half term and by the time we were heading home quite a few were closing down for the season. Very clean room, very spacious and well equipped room, although we never used and ate out. Never used either pool but again looked very nice and clean. Communal toilets were well kept and tidy. Cons of hotel: Was told we could try breakfast and then use for minimum 3 days of stay and pay the lower rate, upon trying to do this it is actually the whole of your stay, €12.60 is very pricey for breakfast and was a bit samey, coffee machine wasn’t consistent and weak or not providing drinks. Rooms were paper thin, could hear the people in room below having a wee during the night, road traffic and door slamming every night, never had a good sleep for the whole week for one reason or another noise wise, such a shame as the other points wouldn’t be mentioned if the sleep factor was better. Sound proof the rooms please as it would be so good.
