We went for dinner. Staff quite disorganised a lot of I’ll be back in a minute. Took food order before drinks order. Bar staff came to end of table and told us to pass drinks up. Forgot one drink and gave us a chipped glass. Food was very poor quality out of 6 adults only 1 enjoyed this meal. Burgers were tiny and no cheese available. Pasta was flavourless. Would not recommend

Dreadful breakfast and poor customer service. Very disappointed with the poor quality and tasteless breakfast and dismissive attitude of the staff. Will not be back and can not recommend the restaurant. It is a lovely setting in a great location but let down by the poor food and service.

Called into restaurant for dinner on our way from Omagh to Newtownstewt. Never again!!. Service was good. Soup was fine. But the main course wad awful. We had the roast of the day which was chicken wrapped in bacon served with mashed potato and veg. Potatoes were pure mush and cold. Veg were a mix if frozen veg, cold and full if water. Worst £40 I ever spent

Booked a table on Sunday for dinner. After arriving and seated, waited 20 mins for someone to take our order. Waited at least another 25 mins for the starter, they forgot the water and wine. Started arrived but was not what was ordered. Another waitress took the plate back to the kitchen. Waitress brought the same plateful back to the table with cheese added. Mains was ok, fish was dry. Desert was also ok, fairly basic and lacked presentation. Blond waitress was not suited to dealing with customers. She took orders incorrectly, including the wine,and had no knowledge about wine in general. Over priced for what was presented.

Excellent stay at The Mellon Country Inn. Room was warm, clean and very comfortable. Staff were really friendly and helpful especially Anna at breakfast. She knew we were travelling on to a funeral and offered us a sandwich and coffee for the journey. She also defrosted our car to speed us on our way. Over and above the call of duty. A great ad for tourism in Northern Ireland!

In the middle of a road construction zone getting into the car park was a guess and getting out a gamble. The wings were delicious and soup nice. The service was excellent and the dining room huge as tour buses were stopping while we were there.

Absolutely dreadful experience here recently! Tasteless cold food, unattentive staff & just not a nice place / environment to take the kids... Stood for almost 15 minutes before we found someone that was willing to seat us when we arrived. Food was shockingly bad for the price & slow to be served. The blonde hostess needs training on how to deal with customers, as the performance me & family witnessed while present was extremely unprofessional to say the least. I think I speak for quite a few when I say the sooner the new A5 is built the better, might help prevent anyone else stopping off here & experiencing the same! Needless to say we shall not be back...

Another disappointing visit. I personally never choose this place myself as somewhere for food. I only be here for an event that I’m invited to. I certainly wouldn’t book it for an event myself. I always find it below expectations for food. Most recent visits have been disappointing, for example sandwiches were terrible. Overfilled and far too much mayonnaise, did not taste great or look appetising. Poor choice of filings. Tea served was cold and slight taste of coffee. That said the apple cake was nice but apart from that certainly not a restaurant of choice. Such a shame because it has great potential given location.
