Hiyori Ocean Resort Okinawa

Super nice place for family to have vacation Has own car park and swimming pool We were there while the typhoon came therefore we could spend time to swim and relax in the hotel One thing needs to be commented is one of the male staff in the restaurant was not so nice and not helpful.

I had higher expectations for this stay and was a bit disappointed. Firstly, the location of the resort is not great, it’s on a loud highway which makes noise an issue but also makes it extremely difficult to navigate as you can’t turn right across the large highway. We treated ourselves to the buffet one morning and wish we didn’t, there was limited selections for food and the sashimi was far from fresh. We were given a table reservation card and once sat down with our food were asked to move by the staff so another guest could have our table? Very odd and once questioned the staff changed their tune and no longer wanted to move us - seemed the other guest was getting preferential treatment. Parking was also paid which was not clear on the initial listing. We stayed for 3 nights and our room was only cleaned on one day, beds were not even made and rubbish wasn’t taken out - very strange for a 5 star. We only realised staff had been in because toilet paper had been replenished. I was very excited for this stay and was a bit let down, views are nice though!

Amazing hotel. Spacious room, great view, beer, ice cream and everything provided is very thoughtful for ladies. Great breakfast where you can try most of the local delicacies and make your own Chirashi. We manage to catch a morning Taichi session. They have alternate yoga session on different days.

The hotel is nice. Room is big. But not much facilities for small kids, they have only one indoor and outdoor pool which are not really big. This might suitable for couples or friends group. But overall is 9/10

Best buffet breakfast ever, you can even have a choose to have lunch buffet instead of breakfast. Nice view from all the rooms

Breakfast at hotel was overcrowded. Needs to take a queue number and choose indoors (which will be much longer wait) or outdoors (and have to fight the cold and strong winds at times). Stayed here for 1 night in early Jan 2026. All else are well except for the breakfast.

Had the pleasure of staying at this property for four nights and was impressed by the overall quality of the experience. The hotel’s central location in Onna Okinawa is an advantage, providing easy access to shopping, dining, and cultural attractions. It serves as an excellent base for leisure travelers if you self drive. The room was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully equipped with a kitchen and washing machine, making it particularly convenient for longer stays. The layout was comfortable and functional, offering both relaxation and practicality. Breakfast was a highlight of the stay. The buffet spread was wide. The system of collecting a queue number before lining up was efficient and ensured a smooth dining experience. Evenings were made memorable by the hotel’s stunning sunset views. Watching the sky transition into vibrant hues from the property was a truly special experience that added to the charm of the stay. Overall, the hotel delivered on all fronts: location, comfort, amenities, and atmosphere. I would not hesitate to return and will certainly choose this property again on my next visit to Okinawa.
