The Moon Beach Museum Resort Reviews

We absolutely loved our stay! Although this was an old hotel since 1975, the resort is well renovated and maintained well. The room is very spacious but a bit dark for our elderly parents (preference) and clean! Room has plenty of privacy. Stayed here for a mid point to Churaumi Aquarium. There is also a public bath within the hotel open in the evening. We came in winter so there was no crowd at the beach and breakfast buffet. Lawson is 5 min walkable distance. Ate dinner at Yakiniku Ryukyunoushi nearby.

We requested a crib for our stay when we made the booking. The hotel said they did not receive the request and refused to give us the crib. The hotel manager was very rude. He hung up on me twice while I was trying to speak to him about getting a crib. He even walked away in the middle of our conversation when I went down to the reception to speak with him. At the end I had to buy a portable crib in a store which was 30 mins drive away from the hotel. This is the first negative hotel experience I have ever had in Japan. Although the beach and pool was nice, we are never coming back again.

Staff are helpful and friendly, the sea view is stunning with clean swimming pool and private beach! Very peaceful stay.

lovely! again anytime! pool is heated and semi-outdoors. vines hanging in the atrium above. beach is awesome, food close by in many little restaurants easily available. bus station approx 250m(?) staff was perfect. room was clean and super comfy, feeling right at home. recommend 100%

The English of the front desk staff is terrible and it makes communication difficult. However staff of the restaurant is good enough. Room is always clean and the cleaning staff are very friendly and cheerful. Few choice in breakfast and the taste is quite disappointing. The most selling point of the resort is the beach. I joined a snorking tour held by the resort. The activites took place on a private island which is beautiful. However my life jacket provided by the tour is dirty and it made my skin irritated.

I chose this hotel because I think this is the only hotel that allows its guests to swim on the beach during winter. The breakfast buffet had a lot of choices but ends early. The room was very clean and complete with facilities, including an espresso machine. It is easy to reach this hotel by the airport shuttle bus. I also took a shuttle bus to go to the famous aquarium. There are many restaurants walking distance from the hotel. I was looking forward to swim in the semi indoor heated pool. Unfortunately, it only opens from 1 to 8 PM. It is also weird that they charged your guest for the gym use (one time fee of 1100yen). This should be included.

I booked a room with a city view and I was very impressed with the spaciousness and the cleanliness of the room. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was modern, and the view was amazing. The hotel was in a great location, within walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, and shops. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth and fast. I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, the fitness center, and the free Wi-Fi. The only minor issue I had was that the coffee maker in the room was not working, but the staff quickly replaced it with a new one. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Okinawa

No in-house entertainment during typhoon, but this is a nice hotel and hv a good sea view.
