Onomichi Daiichi Hotel Reviews

Booked a single room. A fuss free hotel, simple (rather old design). Onomichi station is within walking distance from the hotel. Bicycle rental is also nearby. Great base for Shimanami Kaido cycle route

perfect location, compfy bed, quiet room

Great location for anyone planning on biking the shiminami-kaido. Room was larger than I expected, two washer/drier available on the top floor. A small basement "garage" with bike hanging racks where I was able to store my e-bike overnight. Some of the staff are completely fluent in English which was a nice surprise. The only real issue was the AC unit's main power LED is very large and extremely bright white, much brighter than having a night light and being ceiling mounted illuminated the entire room.

A short walk from the train station. Basic hotel. Relatively quiet at night, good sound proof windows. Also close to the waters for a nice night walk.

budget hotel with good location

The room rate was quite high, but the hotel room was comfortable and clean. From Onomichi JR Station, walk right and have Onomichi Ramen at the station shop for 850 yen. Then, find a map and head to the hotel. The next morning, after a can of coffee, I visited Senkoji Park, making every moment count. The hotel's prime location made the above itinerary even more convenient.

Very close to JR, close to the beach, and within walking distance to surrounding attractions. There are 25 temples around. It was early when we arrived, and only three cherry trees were in bloom.

It is within walking distance from JR station. Clean and tidy, you can see the sunset from the hotel at sunset. Close to the starting point of the walking route, you can store your luggage and take a rest before exploring the city.

Slightly old and small room

The most expensive hotel in the entire Seto Inland Sea cycling trip, but the worst hotel experience. The bath water was small and the mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable. The quilt covers the heat but does not cover the cold. The air conditioner cannot choose the heating and cooling air conditioners by itself. The quilt is not a complete quilt cover, but one with a sheet added. The only advantage is that the location is good, and there is an official bicycle rental shop across the road.

The room is too small, the breakfast is also very poor, the only few dishes are only a little bit, and the price is not cheap.

A relatively cheap business hotel in Onomichi with small rooms

Although the building is a little old, it seems to be well maintained. It was the cheapest in the area, so I think it was good value for money.

It was very close to Onomichi Station, about a 5 minute walk. Lawson is also nearby, so you can go buy some late night snacks! The front desk staff will be courteous! Be sure to check it out when you go to Onomichi!
